I love how War Rooms has collectively brought the Gallifrey fandom back from the dead, and we're all binging through the Gallifrey and big finish audios again.

shoutout to War Room for continuing the theme from Time War of “we might never stop the War, but the time we give people still matters. the small, safe places that we carve out still matter.”

it’s the breaking of the time loop in Nevernor and “How long will they have?” / “Enough to live a life. Maybe even two.” it’s Leela and Veega building a home together and watching Rayo grow up and “I only wish we could have given you a better life.” / “You gave me the best I could’ve had.” it’s taking Micallon out of space-time as a place of peace, Rayo seeing a clean world for the first time and having a future and “There’s a whole garden full of plants that can be used to make medicines. I’ll be able to help people.”

it’s the Arc of Freme and “did you not say that Fremians are Freme?” and a bright shining future across thirty worlds, even when their homeworld is gone. it’s Sorn holding a galaxy inside himself for as long as he can and “You bought everyone in this galaxy time. Allowed generations to live that never would. I’d never have been born without you.” it’s Phaidon shielded by an artifact, it’s rain to put out the fires, it’s “for now, that is all we need. Protection for Phaidon. Narvin says there are other Warpwrights out there. We can bring them here and hide.”

we know they will not stop the War, but there is still life. there is still time.

Day 6: Reunion after a long really long break.

Imagine them suddenly meeting after years and years of the Time War. This will probably never happen in the series, but well, I’ve tried to imagine how would it be.

I love people on my dash pointing out the various references to earlier episodes because you can literally feel the love the writers have for these characters and this series and it's like...the love is stored in the war room

Also not a spoiler but the music in the War Room is SO GOOD!! Especially in ep 4? I've never paid attention to the music in Gallifrey but this one felt very John Williams? Like it was pretty hopeful and adventurous, I loved it.

every interaction between leela and narvin has me like 🥺🥺🥺🥺
