catherine tate rocking up to doctor who with a background in sketch comedy and knowing literally nothing about the show; giving one of the most nuanced, tragic performances in the entirety of sci-fi history; and then dipping after one season with an absolutely horrifically devastating character ending is icon behavior i don’t make the rules

I was very surprised and overjoyed at how many people recognised me! And not only that, but every single person who knew I was Olivia Caliban actually flipped out and asked to take a picture. Also I MET CATHERINE TATE!!!!!!!!! (Still can’t believe it happened?!?!?!) More on that later if y’all want to hear 😊

She was absolutely wonderful!!!! I paid to take a selfie with her at her autograph booth but I realised my hands were shaking so I told her and she said “Well mine aren’t.” And she took my phone (and turned to one of the handlers behind us in the shot and jokingly said “GET OUT OF THE WAY, JEFF!” in her very sassy Donna Noble voice) and took not one picture, but several, and turned it into a mini photoshoot. Then she made sure one of the workers took full body pictures of us (even though I hadn’t asked for it) and when the worker said she took the pictures Catherine Tate asked her how many she took (it was 2) and then insisted we had to take one more. She decided we should do a peace sign pose and I was such a dork that I couldn’t stop grinning the entire time.

She made my experience just incredible! Not everyone goes that extra mile to just be kind, and it really makes a difference.

EDIT: I forgot to mention, shout out to @myqueenoliviacaliban for finding screenshots of Olivia in the episodes because finding full body pictures of her was super hard! I couldn’t have put together the cosplay without those pics!
