I'm not the biggest fan of Joker (no hate, it just didn't blow me away) but this moment in Joaquin's speech killed me. I was a huge fan of River, but more than that, in this moment I had a massive flashback to Joaquin's character, Garry in Parenthood and I could see the vulnerable child he played bubbling just under the surface... 😥
