‘Every villain is a hero in his own mind. But I don’t think Loki knows his own mind. And that is, pretty much, where we find him at every point in his journey. He’s wrestling with his perspective or point of view on reality. In the first film, he feels kind of rejected, and betrayed and lied to, and to some extent he’s right. It distorts his mind.

So, is he a villain? He does some terrible things. He tried to subjugate the Earth. Earth subjugation is definitely a strike in the villain box. But in my head, I think he’s just misguided and in need of redirection.’
