Happy and healthy 2019 to everyone!

Wow, so 2018 has been a hell of a ride!

I just came across THIS New Year post from January and it made me want to reflect a little on 2018. With that in mind I hope that, whatever hand this year dealt you, I was able to make you smile a little bit at some point.

I started making gifs of Tom in 2016 because i’d long admired the man and he’d made me smile when I was going through a particularly difficult time in my life. To this day I still do it for that same reason: to share the joy of Tom. So if even one of my ridiculous (and sometimes inappropriate) gifsets made you smile in 2018 my work is done! 

Personally I was able to get to know a lot of you much better, and your shared love, enthusiasm - and, dare I say it, tortured comments - for Mr H kept me motivated to continue this blog, even in the face of Tumblr Staff’s ongoing ineptitude. I also hope that some of you made new friendships with the help of Friendship Fridays and I will definitely be doing more of those in 2019 if people still want them. 

I’m really happy with the amount of Tom that we got in 2018, and, despite some corners of the fandom complaining about the lack of Hiddles activity, when I looked back over the year for my review, the amount of joyful things I found put a huge grin on my face. So, THANK YOU TOM! (Incidentally, I’ve also had a queue running with many of my 2018 favourites. If you feel like reliving the fun nonsense you can find it here).

Sadly I spent a large portion of 2018 with writers block (not helped by my eye infection at the start of the year) so I didn’t get anywhere near as much writing (or reading of fics) done as i’d hoped. But I’m determined to really focus on finishing my WiPs in 2019, then will be starting some new writing - including a top secret collaboration that I’m very, very excited about - so keep your eyes out for those if you enjoy desperately over-used tropes, extreme silliness and a healthy dose of angst!

Little did I know when I vowed to do more in 2018 that by the end of the year I would not only have finally been well enough to attend a Hiddles premiere, but that I would also have the opportunity to actually meet the eternally charming gent in person! If that wasn’t enough, I was also fortunate enough to be able to meet some of my amazing followers (and pocket friends) in person! 

I can’t wait to continue this into 2019, and with tickets booked for Betrayal and two overseas house guests already confirmed at Casa Humm, plus several other meets with even more Hiddles friends, it should be fun. And that’s before we even get started on all of the Hiddles nonsense we can look forward to in 2019, more news about the Loki TV show, plus the long awaited Avengers: Endgame! 

I have a feeling 2019 is going to be a wonderful year and I hope you ALL get the opportunity to fulfil at least one of your dreams, however big or small! As always, my asks and messages are always open if you ever want to chat, but for now I will sign off for the evening.

Happy & Healthy 2018 to all of my lovely followers!

I tend not to make resolutions, if only because I’m so terrible at keeping them. But I will make a few here. 

As for my long-standing suffering friends and followers…
