Imagine Loki coming back and Thor says "I thought you were really dead" and Loki replies "Odin's son, I pledged to you my undying fidelity."
Headcanon that this is what Loki called Thor when they were kids.
Pairings: Thor Odinson x Reader
Requested by @toomanyotpslove :Imagine finding a handsome looking golden retriever, taking it in, loving on and taking care of it for months, it excitedly following, protecting, loving, and snuggling you until you take a bath with it, find out it's Thor, who was forced into that form, now is deeply in love with you and hungrily staring you down.
Imagine Frigga just walking up to Loki as he talks to Tony at stark tower, grabbing him by the ear and hauling him back to Asgard.
Links to the other parts can be found in my masterlist.
Pairings- Loki Odinson x Reader
Loki takes an apprentice he finds himself getting unusually attached to.
A/N: It’s been a year, but I’ve decided to continue this fic! I’m kinda rusty, but I hope I’ll be getting into the flow of things soon. Just to be clear, this is set far, far before the events of the first Thor movie.
Loki remembered the days when their training sessions had not been in their own hands. Usually, both the princes would have to get up at 5 in the morning, bathe, dress and be at the field by six.
Now, Thor mostly set the sessions to take place whenever convenient, always letting Loki off an hour early, due to his magical studies.
The afternoon sun was hot, beating down on the princes as they jogged around the wide field, warming up.
“Loki!” Thor whispered from beside him.
“What?” he answered, shortly- he preferred not to waste his breath on talking while he ran.
“Tis Lady Astra- she’s stopped by the track, I think she’s watching us,” said Thor.
“Are we talking about her, so soon?” said Loki. “We haven’t even had the time to see which one of us likes her more.”
Thor and Loki had a system when it came to women. They would both decide which of them would be courting (-ahem-! seducing) the woman in question, and the other would steer clear. Even though they fought about almost every other thing, women were one thing which they never got nasty about.
Loki’s eyes were on Lady Astra across the field, where he could see her figure standing.
“She seems to like you, and she’s all magic and things,” Thor offered.
“Aye, she is,” said Loki. Thor stopped to stretch, and so did he.
“Take her up, Lo, and I shall focus on my maiden from last night- pretty little thing, I even like to hear her talk,” said Thor.
“Eh? Did you bed her?” asked Loki.
The reply was a negative, and conversation died out as they began to run.
When he finally got off the field, the evening sun was almost ready to set. They had spent the last half hour, as per usual, by sparring- and Loki suspected from Thor’s playful winks that his brother had let him win a few, as Lady Astra sat by the sidelines, watching.
“My prince” she said, getting to her feet as he approached. She had a pleasant smile on her face.
“M’lady,” he said, heading towards her. “I must apologize for my present state- as you could see, my brother and I-”
“Yes, of course,” she interrupted. “No apologies necessary, your highness- i was watching to the kind of physical training it may require to join an army of Asgard.”
“So you are bent upon applying for my mage army?” he asked as they made their way towards the palace.
“Indeed I am. I’m the sort of woman, you know, to sit about ordering a household with nothing to do,” she said.
“You seem to be quite-”
“-on Vanaheim, I underwent the strictest possible training to strengthen my magic,” she continued.
“I see,” said Loki, “but you are aware, that some physical strength will be required?”
“I’m sure you will have an occasion to test my strength and stamina soon,” she said, archly.
“I’ll look forward to it,” he replied, smirking.
They were very nearly at one of the back entrances, when her eyes fell towards their right.
“What an outgrowth!” she said, motioning to the trees, a note of disgust in her voice. “Most of the flora around the palace is groomed and manicured- why are these trees so...untamed?”
“I rather like them this way,” said Loki, feeling a sharp pang of annoyance. “We call them the woods, although they’re more a forest- they spread all across the northern border. They’re unsafe-” he added, “being home to a variety of dark creatures which are better left undisturbed.”
“I shall explore them as soon as I can,” his companion said. “I would so like some action, and there are no dark creatures against whom Vanaheim has not prepared me.”
“No!” he said, immediately.
She looked at him curiously.
“You needn’t be afraid for my safety, my prince,” she said, smiling,”I can take care of myself.”
Loki let out a mixture of a groan and a growl. He was not looking forward to her invading his private refuge. Other people in his woods- oh!
“(y/n)!” he said out loud.
“My prince?” said Lady Astra, her smile turning into a frown. “There is no one called (y/n) here.”
“Er...no, of course not,” he said. “I’m sorry, she...she was a friend who had a very nasty experience in these woods...I’d rather not speak of it,” he lied.
“Was a friend, your majesty?”
“Loki!” Thor’s voice made them both turn. The older prince seemed to be running towards them both.
“My apologies, Lady Astra, I must really borrow my brother for a while,” he said, hurriedly, taking Loki’s arm and pulling him away.
They went round to another palace entrance, and as soon as they were out of her eyeshot, the illusion of Thor dissolved.
“You’re late, this time,” she said, only slightly smug.
“I am royalty, wench, I can arrive whenever I want to,” he replied.
She said nothing in reply, instead, getting to her feet, and stretching.
“(y/n),” Loki said, “sit down. There’s something I need to speak to you about.”
His voice was completely devoid of all rebuke, mockery, snark or its usual teasing tone. (y/n) felt as if he spoke in a whole other voice when he was sincere.
She did as he said.
“What is it?” she asked.
He sat down cross legged in front of her, about a meter away.
“(y/n), once you are familiar with the most basic of magic, there shall come a point where you shall have to choose as specialization. Magic, of course, diverges into many streams- there is domestic, culinary, procedural, medical, psychological...and so on, which all further diverge,” he said.
“Oh,” she said. “What’s your specialization?”
“I have studied all the streams to as far as I could, then I chose magical warfare. That,” he paused for emphasis, “is actually the stream I hope you’ll choose. Not only am I best suited to teaching you...warfare is a complex art. It requires great amounts of energy, energy that I sense in the likes of Lady Bjorkdottir, and you.”
“Lady Bjorkdottir?” (y/n) asked. She had a frown on her face.
“Nevermind.”
Whoo! That was more fun than I’ve had in a long time!
Important announcement time- I’m looking for a beta reader. If anyone is interested in beta-ing this fic for me, please message me privately. I’d really appreciate your help and feedback.

So I see all these posts about Dr. Strange being protective of Tony
Thor spent the first 24 years of his life as an Asgardian prince, happy and spoiled; then the events of the first Thor movie happened and within two months, his entire family was dead, he'd been stabbed in the eye, he'd lost his hammer, his realm was destroyed and all its people killed. Oh, and he'd lost his fabulous hair.
Personal headcanon that when Thor returns from Asgard he finds Steve fighting to prove that Bucky deserves a second chance, and he wholeheartedly supports Steve, actually fights Tony; all because he knew what it was like to have a brother he thought dead back, and he knew what it was like to watch him prosecuted - and he’d fight the whole world for Loki, too.
