6, 24 and 25 for the naruto ask thing? :)

6: Byakugan, Sharingan, or Rinnegan?

Sharingan.

It's a fascinating doujutsu. Like, each mangekyu is unique on their own (because each of their pain and experience is different when they unlock it!!) Shisui's can change and twist reality at mass level (the ultimate technique that madara or pein could have used to achieve world peace, dominate world, whatnot and called it a day). Sucks that we never saw it in action. I also find Amaterasu very beautiful in poetic way, a fire that never dies out. Suits Sasuke aptly.

24: Favorite weapon?

*eyeing Sakura's axe that she would never be allowed to use on screen*

But Scrolls.

Not only super cool to handle (just look at Tenten), but also the most versatile tool you could have: unlimited storage space for your weapons, and summoning contracts. If I was in Narutoverse, I'd become a master summoner. It would be kinda like becoming a Pokemon master lol

25: Favorite clan?

Hyuga.

I hate that they, like other clans, were casted aside after part 1. Both uchiha and hyuga are considered, on paper, the two of the most powerful and largest clans in konoha, but where do you see hyuga characters given any due importance than be a scapegoat (Neji) or used as fanservice (Hinata). Any relevance given to Hyuga clan post ch 699 doesn't matter or count. What 699 chapters could not give, one random shougo-esque movie or boruto cannot chose to bring up out of blue and expect longtime fans to buy it. So yea, I'm bitter that Uchiha are given all relevance when Hyugas were mentioned to be on same or comparable level.

We missed out on Neji vs Sasuke. I'll forever mourn the loss.

I headcanon hyuga clan related to Shikkotsu forest (alongside Nara). They could be a spiritually powerful duo. They give the vibes.

I wanted Kishi to have Hinata grow a pair and lead Hyuga clan to greatness and resolve their internal conflict. But no, hyuga clan instead got more or less lost in translation.

Imagine Rin and Obito switching their roles.

We'd get a dead/ghost Obito and a vengeful!Akatsuki!Rin.

And a terrified Kakashi because Rin was sweet and kind and angelic andandand– but not this.

.

.

"H..how...why are you doing this, R-Rin?"

"Not only you rejected my love, not only you also rid of the person I was growing to love, not only you tried to kill me but you also stole his eye, ka-ka-shi-kun. What a bad boy you are. You know what bad boys get? Punishment."

"No, all lies. I did not!"

"You can hide only so far behind your lies, Kakashi. Game is over."

.

.

In which Obito doesn't give kakashi his eye as a gift.

In which Kakashi is not a prodigy but a struggling boy who wants to be the best so he could clean the family name his father tainted.

In which Kakashi steals Obito's eye so that he can get an upper hand in the corps. In Kakashi's defence, he thought Obito was dead when he got crushed when in fact he was just unconscious with a very faint heartbeat. He only failed to notice it over his own pounding heart.

In which Rin, who was actually awake instead of unconscious, sees it all from sidelines and fumes because how could he?

In which Rin watches Kakashi lie to his superiors: "he gifted me his eye...", watches him grow strong, watches him being favoured for something he did not deserve, and grows bitter.

In which Rin doesn't die when Kakashi chidori's her. In the nick of time, she somehow manages to use her healing skills (she didn't know who to trust anymore) to heal herself enough to escape Konoha with all the forbidden scrolls she's stolen over time.

In which Kakashi is consumed by guilt because he caused deaths of everyone around him for his own selfish motives.

In which Rin joins Akatsuki and wishes to destroy Konoha because it destroyed her.

.

.

There, the best version of dysfunctional team Minato I could ever come up with.

Hahaha... I tried.

If this doesn't add up... Well, in my defence, neither did many things in Naruto.

Ask me a ship and I'll tell you:

NaruSaku

Who proposed to the other first?

Naruto.
It took several practice sessions with Iruka (because Sasuke refused) pretending to be Sakura for Naruto to master the trick of kneeling and presenting the ring with an air of confidence. But when it mattered, Naruto tipped over his shoelaces (he never worn formal attire ever), accidently knocked over the table (somehow) and bumped straight into Sakura (some ninja he was), and that was how both got kicked out of the very expensive restaurant for causing ruckus.
But when Sakura said she thought "formal proposals were overrated anyway", he took her to Ichiraku, looked her dead in the eye while slurping on ramen, passed her the ring and popped the question illegibly.
Sakura understood anyway and threw a ring she brought for him on his face. She never said 'yes' but she didn't need to.

Who kissed the other first?

Naruto.
It was during a mission. They almost got caught by enemy guards (thanks to Naruto who doesn't know what it means to whisper) while they were following their target. Naruto did the only thing that would have possibly given them an edge. He pulled her to shade and initiated the kiss. Sakura only made sure they looked very convincing. Regardless to say, they got (kicked) out from the location, but without damage.
Later, this kiss inspired many more kisses that they began to steal from each other in the dark.

Who gives a good-morning kiss to other?

Sakura.
Although Naruto is always in bliss whenever Sakura stays night at his place and he is always up early if only to see her wake, it is Sakura who, when she wakes up, sleepily, kisses him first and gets out of the bed to prepare for the day. He always remain in bed until the shower is turned on.

Who likes to play with other's hair?

Naruto.
Between two of them, they both know it is Naruto's hair that is much softer to touch. It wasn't always like that of course.
But Naruto has always found Sakura's hair to be the prettiest thing he's ever seen. The way sunshine would turn it gold, and moonlight silver, has always amazed him. He would give special attention to her hair whenever they'd make love and cuddle. Once Sakura asked if he loved her only for her hair, which he doesn't refute, much to Sakura's chargin and amusement.

Who likes to play footsies?

Sakura.
There was something innately sexy about Sakura's arms and legs. It could be that she's got the best built – one that is lean and strong all the same – out of their peers. Naruto's breath hitch every time those legs brush his and her heels trace an imaginary line on his calves. They know they should focus on the meeting. They know it was inappropriate for a Hokage to be distracted in the middle of the what could be a very important meeting. But they also know his very playful and intelligent wife was adept at takes noting of everything. Everything.

Who is the dominant one?

Kurama.
As much as Sakura loves to be on the top, it becomes hard when a demon houses in your lover's body. More often than not, Kurama who more or less has become a part of their relationship would take over Naruto's body whenever Sakura would cross a particular threshold of dominance tolerated to her. Apparently, it was insulting for an alpha male like Kurama to be taken from above by a mere mortal woman, even if the said woman was his host's wife. Not that it was his body she was making love to in first place.
It's only because Naruto could feel everything even when Kurama takes his body that they put up with his sexism. Besides, Sakura doesn't mind.

Who likes to keep a picture of the other with them all the time?

Both.
They each wear a necklace bearing each other's photo inside, to remind themselves of the times they were missing out on, of their significant other waiting for them at return home, to keep them company for the late nights when they get too busy with their duties.

Who likes to buy the other gifts?

Naruto.
He always send his clones to get Sakura flowers to cheer her up on days he hears about loss in the hospital. He often requests Gaara for new poisons he knows Sakura will enjoy in her lab. He takes her out on dates even after years of marriage – particularly to that very expensive restaurant, where he had planned to propose to her, that had kicked them out. They act deliberately loud in that one, but they don't get kicked out of course. Nobody minds what you do when you have power.
Most days, they don't send gifts for one another not because they couldn't but because those things don't spark joy in the face of the brighter things. Like, when Sakura comes to pick him up from office after her late shift, knowing he would still be cooped up in his office because he lost track of time.

Who takes initiative in making physical contact?

Sakura.
She would hit him whenever he would make a mistake, forget something important, or skip meals. Then, next moment she would be patting him like he were a dog, kiss his woes away and be on her merry way. She would come to his office to check if he had his lunch, and would force feed him if he hadn't (more often than not). She would drag him out of his office if he isn't home by 12 or would stay and help him until the work is done. She wasn't gentle nor romantic by any stretch, but she would always touch him for one reason or other.

Who plans their dates?

Naruto.
His clones come in handy. They'd scout the area and report back their findings. Naruto would jot it all down, highlighting their specialities, an habit Shikamaru and Sakura drilled into him, and allows Sakura to make her choice for their next date. Life is simple for them when it comes to making choices. It is when they are together that life becomes exciting.

Who was shy on their first date?

Neither.
Their first date had been no different than any normal meetups they've had before. Except with lingering touches, an innocent kiss turned make up session, and a hug.

Who wakes up the other?

Before marriage: Naruto would wake up first and help Sakura get started on her day – would make her coffee just the way she liked, set her outfit out by the vanity, make sure her bag is set just so she doesn't miss her files, and make bath for them. He would join her on the bed, and wait for her to wake up so he could get his prize for his hardwork.
After marriage: They'd both be too exhausted to find energy in them to wake up. Sakura would be the first to get out of the bed, but only after giving Naruto his customary kiss, and would set bath for them. Her husband would still be lost to the world so she would carry his sleepy ass into bath and prepare him for the day so they could once again be on their way to face the world.

Who was shy in taking their relationship to next level?

Sakura.
When Naruto and Sakura engaged in a kiss that was more passionate than they ever experienced before, Sakura knew what was coming. Her mind was a turmoil of emotions that had nothing to do with the heat that flared inside her body.
Sakura was no stranger to kisses. She liked – no, loved – kissing Naruto senseless. She could think of hundred ways that could make Naruto respond to her with only a kiss, and she loved that he loved kissing her. But, her body was her vulnerability. She could think hard but still would draw blank if it's about telling one positive detail about her body. Naruto always looked at her like she was the only woman in the world – and while the sentiment was flattering, it meant expectations. She was terrified of disappointing him. She didn't want to consider the possibility of him finding her body undesirable. They were dating, not married. He had no ties to her, he was free to find someone who he'd be attracted to, a better life, with someone who'd be a lot, lot better than her. She loved him, and she knew he loved her, but the chances of her messing this up were astronomical and –
Naruto pulled away from the kiss to look at her, to understand why she froze in his arms. He didn't understand the reason behind her anxiety – why she would freeze whenever his hands would inch a little too close to her chest or a little below her hips – so he did what she really wanted him to: stop.
One night, Sakura murmured her fears into his ears and Naruto, who had never seen her look so timid and breakable, gave her what she needed the most: time.
Time until marriage so she wouldn't have a reason to be afraid.

Who hogs up the blankets in their sleep?

Naruto.
When it happened for the nth time, Sakura threatened to kick Naruto out of the bed with only his dear blankets to shelter him from cold. He nodded his consent of course, but it repeated the next day and the day after, too, but Sakura is nothing if not adaptable, so she has thus learnt to keep another blanket on her side of the bed so she doesn't die in her sleep on cold mornings.

Who is easy to get jealous?

Sakura.
You can't help some things from happening when your boyfriend-turned-husband is a war-hero, as Sakura learnt it one week into her dating him. While she isn't bothered per se – being considered quite a hit among men and popular across countries herself – but there is a bold line between people admiring your lover and people feeling up your lover.
It is only because her reputation and her glare which is known to promise suffering that people scurry away from Naruto whenever she is in the vicinity.
No, Sakura is just worried for Naruto. She knows her husband wouldn't try things if he knows what's best for him.

Who cooks in the house?

Naruto.
Sakura can't cook rice to save her life. Period. Everyone in team 7 is well-aware about her inability to be domestic in general. Naruto finds it endearing most of the times– times when she is not attempting to make him her test subject for her culinary experiments.
They don't need chef to make them dinner when they return home, Naruto always makes sure to send a clone to make them dinner. Sakura has more than once told him that she was the luckiest woman in the world to have him as her husband. He makes them fresh bentos through clones. He tries new recipes whenever he gets a day off and surprises Sakura with his skills. Their sundays involve just them and their kitchen.
Sakura still insists on making them dinner whenever she could. She learnt to make a decent ramen after a month long – disastrous – training from Ayame. Although Sakura always adds too much of something, Naruto always licks his bowl clean because to him her ramen is only second to Ichiraku.

Who 'protects' and who 'nurtures'?

Sakura protects him.
Naruto nurtures her.

Where Sakura gives her opinion on each Hokage:
(Don't ask me why.)

The Second, Tobirama Senju

Tobirama: gives Sakura an unreadable intense stare, as if daring her to insult his leadership

Everyone waits holding their breath, but not Tsunade who fails to rein in her snorts unsuccessfully. It's hard to look serious when your grandfather looks like he is dead, er, deader (because Edo Tensei).

Sakura: takes a deep breath Tobirama-sama (Tobirama raises a brow as if that can hold her back from saying whatever she wants to say, of course it doesn't)

(Tsunade: here we go again...)

Sakura: proceeds to give a three hour speech about how Konoha remains tall and proud only because of Tobirama, how he could have done so much more and brainstorms her own theories behind the working of his techniques

(

Tsunade: fast asleep

Minato: looks facinated and nods in agreement time and again whenever Sakura makes a particularly strong, passionate comment about a particular system he is also familiar with

Hashirama: eyes teary in a strange mix of pride and chagrin

Hiruzen: pats Hashirama's back sympathetically

)

Three hours later

Sakura: deep exhale and that's why I want you to take me as your student, Tobirama-sama! bows in a seiza position I promise to work hard and not fail you!

Hashirama: snaps out of his misery pfft! Tobi dislikes taking apprentices almost as much as Uchi–

Tobirama: You better, I wouldn't go easy on you.

Hashirama: NANI?!

Minato and Hiruzen both wince when they hear a loud crack followed by a howl of pain from Hashirama.

.

Because there's no way Minato and Sakura are not the biggest fans of Tobirama.

Because there's no way Sakura is not a nerd.

Because there's no way Hashirama wouldn't be jealous of Tobirama for stealing 'all his light'.

Part 4: Minato Namikaze

Part 5: Tsunade Senju

Where Sakura gives her opinion on each Hokage:
(Don't ask me why)

The First, Hashirama Senju:

Hashirama: flashes a sunshine smile

Sakura: smiles back he is incredibly strong... Hashirama's face breaks into a wide grin ...but also quite useless.

Hashirama: balks and gasps which sounds like he is on a chokehold

Tobirama: glares and demands an explanation with his eyes

Hiruzen: smile grows tight

Minato: hums to himself is this what I think it is?

Tsunade: snorts

Sakura: I mean, of course, you helped create buildings with your mokoton (Hashirama nods hard as if saying 'yes see my usefulness') but those buildings you created were designed by Tobirama-sama, right? (Hashirama pauses, trying to remember) the production work was also supervised by Tobirama-sama, the funds were also managed by him... And most clans came to the village because it was Tobirama who publicised the news to them (Hashirama looks at others, hoping for disagreement, but only receives pitiful gazes) Therefore essentially it was Tobirama-sama who did most founding work and he is the second Hokage (as if seeing the words coming from miles away, Hashirama freezes) but you are the first. So, Hashirama-sama, aside from being the chief builder in the construction of Konoha (Hashirama breaks) what did you do as a Hokage, apart from attending the meetings as the leader?

Cricket noises

Hashirama: opens his mouth to argue –

Sakura: I'm sure it was also Tobirama-sama who did most of your paperwork because, well, let me guess, your penmanship is just Hashirama snaps his mouth close terrible. sounding awfully convinced for someone who was only guessing

Tobirama: ...she is not wrong, brother.

Minato: this is a murder.

Hiruzen: thinks about all the times his sensei cancelled their team training sessions because his brother kept him busy doing paperwork that he should have been doing

.

Because the first hokage is just as unreliable as Naruto Uzumaki.

Because just because you're powerful doesn't mean you're a good leader.

Because I love it when Hashirama faces criticism from someone who is neither Madara nor Tobirama.

.

Part 1: You're here

Part 4: Minato Namikaze

Part 5: Tsunade Senju

Suna is the most fashion-forward village and if Ino had to choose a village over Konoha then it would be that. Also, because it houses a bad boy turned good boy who also happens to be a natural hottie that no on noticed before conversion.

(Sakura is not impressed though so she always joins Ino on missions to Suna with her private mission to protect Gaara.)

Naruto Headcanon (p2)

(Check out part 1 here)

(Warning: Sakura centric. Very slight and neutral NaruHina. They have a good reason though. Sasusaku is just angst. Don't like? Don't read.)

Neji cropped his hair short to forsake his hyuga status. By doing that, he essentially became free.

Sasuke never returned to Konoha and instead continued Orochimaru's legacy. He rebuilt Oto from the shambles it was in and became Otokage. It became a haven for missing nins and people who wanted to start anew.

Kiba joined Anbu and was placed in one of the top tracking teams. Unfortunately for him, Shino was his Anbu captain. Shino used this opportunity to whip Kiba into his place to make up for all the times he was forgotten by his teammate.

(I love the running gag in which Shino is invisible)

Neji and Tenten marriage was unconventional and Gai insisted they switched roles in their marriage. Tenten waited for her husband on the altar while Neji walked down the aisle. It took a lot of convincing on Naruto's and Lee's part to make Neji agree to this. Regardless to say, it was the most memorable marriage.

(Check out the first part of headcanon series to make sense of this arrangement.)

Hinata abolished the Hyuga branch system and took her heiress position with all seriousness to make up for the lost time. Hanabi fell in love with a man outside clan (his name starts with K), leaving Hinata to take up the mantle.

Her heir status and her job as the academy teacher didn't clash at all. She easily made time for all her responsibilities.

She married Kiba who changed his name to Hyuga. They married out of convenience but fell in love soon enough.

(Kiba wasn't heir so he is a free man. He could marry into other clan if he so wished. Besides, his clan is female dominant so he was easily casted out. Also because Tsume adored Hinata.)

Naruto didn't marry Hinata because she wished to guide her clan to a better future and Naruto wanted to rebuild his own clan.

Hinata and Naruto dated for a while but it didn't work. Hinata realised what she felt for Naruto was just admiration of his dominant character and merely desired to always support him. Naruto found her quiet and accepting persona not fit for his challenging personality. They parted on good terms.

Sakura moved on from Sasuke when he joined Akatsuki. She lost all her hopes of ever seeing that Sasuke she saw when she was a child. But she still wanted to help him find peace.

Naruto desperately held onto his hopes because no one else but team 7 believed in Sasuke or Naruto's conviction in Sasuke anymore. Sai didn't believe in Sasuke but he believed in his teammates.

(Sasuke wasn't close to any of the rookies. There's a limit to any obligation that other teams would have felt for Sasuke. They may be (hardly) friends or allies, but no one stands up for you more than family. Team 7 is one big family.)

Sasuke rejected Sakura vocally under the assumption she still loved him when Team 7 reunited. He earned a punch from Sakura that left him passed out for 3 days. He again got punched when he asked for reason why he got punched. This time he was out for a week. He didn't dare talk back to Sakura again.

Karin moved in with Naruto after the war. She wanted to live with her family and Naruto couldn't be happier. They grew close and remained so even after Naruto moved out to live in Hokage household. Suigetsu and Juugo moved in with Karin after that.

It took 9 years after the war for karin to finally accept her feelings for Suigetsu. He jumped her the moment she confessed. They had kids first and married next.

Orochimaru is dead. Period. Tsunade never woke from her coma; 5 years into the coma she died. Sakura was devastated. She left the village on her personal mission. Naruto didn't stop her.

(What mission? See part 1.)

It was spring when finally, at the age of 26, Naruto is given the hat. During the crowning ceremony, Naruto publicly declared his engagement with Sakura. He earned a punch of course, but he wasn't refused. Sakura left for her mission again.

(A Hokage should have more than just talk-no-jutsu and power. Naruto is not a Hokage material (face it!!) but that doesn't mean he couldn't be properly trained to become one.)

(Sakura loved Sasuke despite every his crimes and dismissals, Hinata loved Naruto despite his obliviousness towards her existence, so god how can Naruto who 'never gives up' gave up on his love for Sakura, for merely her rejection? Please keep your 'rivalry to Sasuke bs' to yourself. Manga has more than enough reference of her showing deep concern and care for Naruto. Sp can burn.)

It was in the next spring that Sakura returned from her personal mission to settle back for an indefinite time.

(Guess for what?)

Lee was both Neji and Tenten's first kiss. Lee's was Sakura. Sakura's was Naruto. Naruto's was Sasuke. Sasuke's was Itachi. Legend has it has ghost of Itachi still feels traumatised by that memory.

Sakura and Mei grew close when Sakura helped Kiri grow their medical force. Mei wanted to adopt Sakura at one point and prepared papers without consent, Kakashi, who was the Hokage at that time, personally came to Kiri to drag Sakura back to Konoha.

(I love Kiri!Sakura AU)

Naruto headcanons:

(Warning: Sakura-centric. Don't like? Don't read.)

Sakura (slug summonning contract) and Shino (aburame bugs) bonded over their connection to bugs. Also, Shino is into Herbology and is intellectual to a fault. Sakura likes getting into arguments with him.

Lee and Sakura are brotp because they understand more than anyone else that they are unprivileged. Chouji joins their fray when Sakura notices how he is shadowed by his teammates and see herself in him. They call themselves 'Big 3' because they have inhuman strength.

Sakura is the only female of their generation to have six abs and perfectly tight body. Boys envy her body.

Not unlike Konohamaru who follows Naruto, Moegi worships the ground Sakura walks on. She wants to be expert in both killing and healing.

Postwar Sakura takes Anger Management lessons from Hinata.

Ino and Sakura are lowkey gay for each other but neither will admit to that.

Kiba ships it because he doesn't want more violent women offsprings in the world.

Shikamaru ships too, just to get Ino off his back. (ShikaIno was canon at one point...until it wasn't)

The real reason why Shino always covers his body is that he has piercings and tattoos on his body. And Aburame family has ties all across the world. They are the largest community and are often the ones sent on long term undercover missions because of their ties.

Shino makes it to Anbu first much to everyone's shock. Except Hinata. Hinata knew he would.

Tenten joined after him and that was the best decision she ever made.

Neji never died, but he stayed in coma for 7 years. After that, became physically unfit to remain a active shinobi. He left the clan and moved in with Tenten and Lee. He later married Tenten who became the breadwinner of the family.

Hinata became a teacher at the academy. She was consistently voted as the best teacher of the year and the years following. Children love her.

Sakura joined Anbu but she quit to leave village for several years to offer her services to less privileged villages. Naruto remained in contact with her by strategically opting his missions near her location.

Sai joined her full time.

(I refuse to believe Sakura and Sai aren't close like Sasuke and Naruto.)

Sai and Sakura bonded over their role of being replaceable in team 7. Sakura has always felt like she was the least significant member of the team, and Sai was a replacement of the original member, root only adding to his case. Their insecurities and positions deepened their friendship.

Sasuke never came back to the village, nor the village welcomed him, but he stayed in contact with Naruto. And occasionally, Kakashi. Sakura wasn't hurt because she never expected him to reach for her.

(I don't hate SasuSaku but I want Sakura to have some self respect.)

During the war, Shi (C) and Sakura became close friends over their mutual passion for medicine. She is the only leaf he doesn't hate and actually respect.

(C is a jounin from Kumo, one of the bodyguards of Raikage alongside Darui. He knows medical ninjutsu. Since he knew Medical ninjutsu and medics are prized during crisis, he probably was placed in healing.)
