From the Chrysalis

My mates stuck in Istanbul got tickets to Toronto, then back to Atlanta. Now I just have to hope nothing stupid happens between now and Wednesday when the first flight is, or rather, between now and when they cross the Turkish border.

Pretty pictures aside, two of my mates - one of my closest friends and his wife - are stuck in Istanbul. All flights to the US are cancelled indefinitely. They can't go too far from the airport because it's too dangerous. Last I heard, it was 47 civilians and maybe 104 soldiers dead and over 1,400 injured? And F16s flying overhead, tanks in the street? And talk of martial law? And here are my mates trapped and hearing they may be denied re-entry to the US because of the Turkish stamps in their passports. I am not okay. And I'm really surprised "Fuck 2016" isn't a tag.
