Actually did it. I weighed in this morning at just under 141 lbs, which safely slides me into a decent weight division if/when I want to fight officially next year. My walking weight is 160-165, but I started in April at 175 after a hard winter, so this has been a 12-week cut totaling 34 lbs…
I’m proud of myself, and fucking worn out. The last couple months have been increasingly exhausting for my body, but that’s nothing compared to the mental and emotional aspects. The amount of grit this stuff takes, is unbelievable.
I also want to make it very clear that this is not my natural body, weight, or appearance. For me, this was only a result of careful food manipulation and end-stage dehydration for the purpose of a simulated fight weigh-in. This is not something to be achieved and maintained, not for aesthetics, and certainly not for performance. It is extremely temporary and I will be working hard to refuel, rehydrate, and recover ASAP!
