Titan Comic’s Twelfth Doctor Year Three comic comes to a close with the final part of A Confusion of Angels – which, in case you haven’t guessed, sees Peter Capaldi’s incarnation of the Time Lord come up against the Weeping Angels!

Written by Richard Dinnick, here’s the synopsis for The Twelfth Doctor Year Three #13:

The conclusion of Year Three!

The Weeping Angels descend on the Doctor, but his companions, old and new, have a few tricks up their sleeves to help him out!

The comic is drawn by Pasquale Qualano, and comes with three covers: one by Blair Shedd, a Groundhog Day-inspired variant by Simon Myers, and a Photo Cover by Will Brooks. Here’s what’s inside:

As you can see, not only are the Angels back, but so are the Judoon (Smith and Jones), and the Host (Voyage of the Damned), and there’s at least a flashback to the Slitheen (Boom Town).

We don’t yet know the future for the Twelfth Doctor comics; while the Tenth, Eleventh, and Thirteenth Doctors are featured in Titan’s Free Comic Book Day issue, the Twelfth is lacking. Keep your fingers crossed that we’ll see those eyebrows again soon…

The Twelfth Doctor #3.13 is out now, priced $3.99.

In June, the Seventh Doctor and Ace are back for a three-part adventure for Titan Comics – and it’s written by Doctor Who Script Editor, Andrew Cartmel, and Battlefield‘s Ben Aaronovitch!

The miniseries begins in June 2018 with a double-sized first issue, and is expected to conclude in August.

The comic will see an unknown alien intelligence in orbit around the Earth. Astronauts are under attack. There’s a terrifying, mysterious landing in the Australian interior. The future of the world itself at stake. Counter Measures is activated. The Seventh Doctor and Ace are slap bang in the middle of it all! This is OPERATION VOLCANO!

Counter Measures is, of course, a UNIT-esque military strikeforce introduced in Aaronovitch’s Remembrance of the Daleks 30 years ago, in October 1988; the team has since returned for numerous audio adventures for Big Finish.

Cartmel served as Script Editor throughout the Seventh Doctor era, and was responsible for writing out Bonnie Langford’s Mel Bush and introducing Sophie Aldred as Ace in Dragonfire. We might best know Aaronovitch for his two Doctor Who TV serials, but he’s since become a best-selling novellist with his Rivers of London series – indeed, he and Cartmel have worked together on a spin-off comic book set in the same world as his books. For the Seventh Doctor comic, they’ll be joined by illustrator Christopher Jones (The Third Doctor comic) and colorist Marco Lesko (The Ninth Doctor).

There will also be a back-up strip, written by Twelfth Doctor scribe, Richard Dinnick, with art by Jessica Martin – yes, that Jessica Martin, who played Mags in The Greatest Show in the Galaxy!

The debut issue comes with four variant covers to collect: three art covers by artists, Alice X. Zhang, Simon Myers, and Christopher Jones, plus a photo cover by Will Brooks.

Titan Comics’ Seventh Doctor comic will hit shelves in June 2018, and will retail at $3.99 per issue.

Year Three of Titan Comics’ Eleventh Doctor title comes to an end with the second part of Hungry Thirsty Roots, which sees a culmination in the plot strands of the previous 12 issues.

The Eleventh Doctor #3.1 began with Remembrance, and the following issue introduced us to The Scream, a member of the race known as the Silence – so powerful that even other Silents couldn’t remember him. He’s been a presence throughout the most recent run of stories, notably in The Tragical History Tour and Strange Loops. Now, he’s back, and reality has warped, memories prove elusive, and the Doctor and his companion, Alice Obiefune are in very precarious situations indeed.

Written by Alex Paknadel and Rob Williams, here’s the synopsis for The Eleventh Doctor #3.13:

The third year of the Eleventh Doctor comes to a fiery conclusion!

Can the Sapling escape its destiny?

As you can see, there are two covers available – one by Blair Shedd, and a photographic variant by Will Brooks.

With internal art by JB Bastos and Luiz Campello, The Eleventh Doctor #3.13 is out now, with a $3.99 RRP.

This year’s event from Titan Comics continues with The Lost Dimension Special #1 – and it’s available right now!

Written by Emma Beeby and Gordon Rennie – who wrote Titan’s Fourth Doctor comic series together – the issue forms the fifth part of the event, and covers the Fourth Doctor’s, Romana’s, and River Song’s part in the tale. Ah but I bet you’ve spotted someone else on the cover, haven’t you? Yes, there’s Jenny, the Doctor’s daughter from, uh, The Doctor’s Daughter (2008). This should come as no great shock, however, to anyone keeping track of The Lost Dimension so far…

This is the first of two Special issues, and this one’s also extra-long, with 36 pages of Who-y goodness.

Check out our preview of the first few pages, with art by Wellington Diaz (who worked on one of my favourite 1990s Marvel covers, Amazing Spider-Man #422, featuring the “rebirth” of Electro), Ivan Rodriguez, and Anderson Cabral.
