Two Classic Doctor Who Stories Starring Tom Baker's Fourth Doctor Disappear From BBC iPlayer

Two Classic #DoctorWho Stories Starring Tom Baker's Fourth Doctor Disappear From BBC iPlayer

Two Fourth Doctor stories have vanished from the Whoniverse section of BBC iPlayer, leaving newer fans bereft of much-loved classic tales. Terror of the Zygons and The Seeds of Doom have been taken down from the UK streaming service, apparently due to licensing issues — as both are written by the late Robert Banks Stewart, the agreement is presumably with his estate. Terror of the Zygons stars…

Peter Harness Pitched the Returns of the Meddling Monk and the Mara

During the watch-along of The Zygon Invasion/ The Zygon Inversion, writer Peter Harness revealed that he pitched storylines that would bring back two classic Doctor Who antagonists, the Meddling Monk and the Mara.
Harness apparently called the former How the Monk Got His Habit, and says he envisioned Matt Berry (Toast of London) as the troublesome Time Lord. It involved the Monk hearing…

After 4.5 billion years, the Doctor Who Series 9 soundtrack is finally out!
Doctor Who fans are used to waiting: even when there’s not a hiatus, we’ve had to drag our heels throughout much of 2009, 2012, and 2016. Despite only being a few months since Twice Upon A Time, this year has seemed very bereft of Doctor Whotoo. But at least the wait for the Series 9 soundtrack has ended, so we can…

Sonic Feedback: Here's What You Thought of Thin Ice!

Three episodes in and Thin Ice continues a hot streak for the final full series for Peter Capaldi’s Doctor. There’s much to celebrate in this excellent episode, which after two introductory tales, finally sets the Doctor and Bill Potts off on their own adventure. The Doctor and Bill are a great comedy double act and get to share some witty dialogue which, rather ingeniously, deals with all the…

Here's What The Doctor Who Companion Thought of The Pyramid at the End of the World!

Welcome to the DWC Apartments: a luxury development that’s 5,000 years old. Except, the site only appeared yesterday. And our inhabitants are basically robed desiccated corpses. Hey man, don’t judge, okay? What do we want? WE WANT YOU TO LOVE US. Sorry, no, sorry, calm down. Calm down, DWC, you were like this when you met Shirley Bassey. (Brownie points for correctly identifying where that…

Having mastered the Extremis video game, it’s time for the Doctor to take his PDF file of what to do in case of an invasion out on the road in these new images from The Pyramid At The End Of The World.

Co-written by Peter Harness (The Zygon Invasion/Inversion) and showrunner Steven Moffat (Blink), the episode, the second of a trilogy of episode featuring the beautifully creepy Monks, finds the Doctor (Peter Capaldi), Bill (Pearl Mackie), and Nardole (Matt Lucas), at the centre of a pyramid-shaped mystery.

A 5,000-year-old Pyramid stands at the centre of a war zone, where the Chinese, Russian and American armies are about to clash. There are many problems with that, but the one that intrigues the Doctor is this: there wasn’t a pyramid there yesterday.

The Doctor, Bill and Nardole face an alien invasion unlike any other, and before conquest can begin, these aliens need the consent of humanity…

If you’re still confused about last week’s episode, then get ready to add another layer of confusion on top in this clip where the meddling, mouldy monks explain to the Doctor in elliptical terms, just how you’re going to click on the ‘I understand and agree’ button for our downfall.

You can check out a gallery of new images below featuring Tony Gardner as Douglas, Togo Igawa as Secretary General, Daphne Cheung as Xiaolian, Andrew Byron as Ilya, and Nigel Hastings as The Commander, if you click here and agree to let us take over the world…

Reviewed: Titan Comics' Twelfth Doctor #2.5

Killer comics are the order of the day as the Twelfth Doctor breaks the fourth wall in order to save himself from…well himself. Or at least the Time Surgeon, the comic book equivalent of the Twelfth Doctor’s adventures, where our hero finds himself into his 2D world, but what of the force that lies behind the ink and panel layout, who is the real monster sucking unsuspecting geeks into their…
