Doctor Who Series 10 and Class Coming to Netflix in June 2018

Less than a year after it first concluded on BBC1, Doctor Who Series 10 is coming to Netflix UK next month… accompanied by divisive spin-off, Class.
In fact, viewers with access to the streaming service will get to enjoy Class before Series 10 (which seems fitting, seeing as the spin-off was available before the final series of the core show). Class is added on 3rd June, while Doctor WhoSeries 10…

Night Study: Here's What You Thought of Nightvisiting

Morning, class. Sorry I’m late, I didn’t sleep particularly well. I had this odd dream where my fish from when I was 8 was trying to talk to me. I’ll you what, they were the saddest *blub blubs* I’ve heard since that one Hath died in The Doctor’s Daughter. Anyway, onto Nightvisiting, the final Patrick Ness/Ed Bazalgette episode. So, what did we all think? Fantastic: the stuff dreams are made…

#FollowFriday: Patrick Ness

Here we are again: it’s Friday – the first of Advent 2016, no less – and that’s when we take an almost-weekly look at the wonders of Twitter, or more specifically, who Doctor Who fans should follow on the social network. As it’s Class Week at the DWC, and the finale’s less than 24 hours’ away, today’s #FollowFriday is the wonderful Patrick Ness! I’ve been a fan of Ness for a while now, having…

Reviewed: Class - Nightvisiting

“Says milord to milady as he mounted his horse, ‘Beware of Long Lankin that lives in the moss.’ Says milord to milady as he went on his way, ‘Beware of Long Lankin that lives in the hay.'” I’m writing this on Halloween, so here’s a prediction: next year there will be a rush on Miss Quill costumes. It doesn’t have to be anything fancy. Miss Quill has only a couple of outfits, depending on whether…

What Did You Think of Class: Nightvisiting?

As Hallowe’en approaches, darkness falls across the land, and loved ones return to us. That’s what the third episode of Doctor Who spin-off, Class promised, a tale rich with character development – especially for Vivian Oparah’s Tanya. So what did you think of Nightvisiting? Was it as good as the previous stories – For Tonight We Might Die and The Coach with the Dragon Tattoo – or better? Perhaps…

The BBC have released a slew of production stills for the third episode of Class – Nightvisiting.

The episode switches focus to the young brainy box of the team Tanya (Vivian Oparah) as she tries to come to terms with a huge emotional point in her young life as an unexpected visitor – who was revealed in the next time trailer at the end of The Coach With The Dragon Tattoo – arrives which probably has something to do with the Cronenbergian tendrils currently engulfing the school…(was it me or was the gun from episode one also influenced by David Cronenberg? The black, organic binds seem to suggest some weird meld of the mechanical and organic – like the gun made of fish bones in Existenz).

Tanya isn’t the only one who must deal with the unwanted return of some emotional baggage when a Miss Quill (Katherine Kelly) is confronted by a familiar face.

The full synopsis reads:

“London is infiltrated by an eerie alien with the ability to morph into the shape of lost loved ones.

Tanya has an unexpected visitor come to her window in the dead of night – and she’s not the only one, as Ram and Miss Quill face their own startling visitors.

Confronted with these emotional encounters, the team must overcome the persuasion of this strange new threat, and battle through the streets to stop Tanya from being lost forever.”

Guest starring Anastasia Hille (The Missing) and Kobna Holdbrook Smith (Doctor Strange) Nightvisiting will debut on BBC Three on October 29th from 10am.

Episode 1 For Tonight We Might Die and episode 2 The Coach With The Dragon Tattoo are available on BBC iPlayer now.

Title and Synopsis Revealed for Class Episode 3, Nightvisiting

Unbelievably, it’s less than a week until Class debuts on BBCThree, with two episodes airing on Saturday 22nd October. Now, the BBC has released the synopsis for Episode Three, Nightvisiting – and it sounds pretty spooky! (Naturally, minor spoilers follow.) The story appears to focus mainly around Vivian Oparah’s character, Tanya, but the other lead cast are naturally soon drawn into the action:…
