How to Make a Pair of Ruby Sneakers
If you've ever wanted a casual Dorothy inspired outfit, I've created the perfect pair of shoes that will go with your look!
You will need:
  • A pair of old or new shoes, preferably with red fabric. I used a pair of red Levis shoes from Ross.
  • Fabric glue, or glitter bond
  • Red glitter
  • Stenciling sponge, or brush, or your fingers!
What you want to do first is remove the shoelaces from your shoes and place the shoes on top of a counter. If you want an easy clean-up, place some newspaper on your surface.
Next, brush some glue on the shoe, and even it out. You can do this section by section.
Next add the glitter. Repeat this step until you have covered the whole shoe. Then, add another layer of glue on top of the glitter and let it sit as directed (mine says 24 hours) in order to seal the glitter. This way there won't be any flying glitter as you skip along the yellow brick road! After, add your shoelaces, grab a nice checkered shirt or dress and go out and have some fun!
As always, message me with any questions.
