hoo boy, astolat is an author that I am genuinely happy to read whatever she writes, as I feel she is someone that you can trust to tell a story and tell it well. this one is plotted very well, and it was enjoyable to spend an afternoon reading. if you enjoy stories about magic, romance and medieval castles, this one is for you!
as for some notes on the design, I really enjoyed using the swords for the page numbers for this one, that I was glad I had the idea to also have that on the front with the title - I feel like it really brings it together. also, after seeing @a-gay-old-time's multi-coloured speckled edges, I knew I had to give that a go!
