Robots on Coaster (drinking beer), an ongoing series
Who's that Pokémon?
Friday afternoon sketch/appropriation.
Alternate ending to Casablanca, "Casabotca."
Fooling around.
Jehobot's Witness, complete with the Digital WatchTower for you to peruse.
p.s. yes I thought of the lousy pun first and worked backwards from there, so what?
Aw, this little guy is exhausted.
A quick pencil sketch today, because I haven't done that sort of thing in awhile.
324 (Stage 1)
This took forever just to draw and ink, so come back tomorrow, at which time I may or may not have done something interesting with it. In other news, my new watch is from the future.
301 (Going Somewhere)
I scratched this out at work because I had a busy evening planned with that Scott Pilgrim movie and its director/cast. Yes, it is very reminiscent of the last robot drawing I did before this website started, thanks for noticing that. You heard about our Tumblr, right? Ok, good.
299 (Just CADding Around)
This robot was sketched out entirely on the computer, which - for Serious Digital Artist Types - is not a big deal, but it's not something I typically do since I don't particularly excel at it, and drawing something like this directly into Illustrator makes very little sense from a making-things-look-good perspective. Oh well, here it is just the same. And, for the parties who were curious about yesterday's robot's backstory: sorry for not regaling you, and by now it feels as though the moment has passed. In other news, it was a weird evening, and now it's time for bed.
285 (Pencil Sketches after a Long Exploding Weekend)
Hello Again. Did everyone have a Fourth of July? Of course you did, unless you were just born today. Me, I had a pretty good holiday, save for the enormous heat and also I didn't see any fireworks (got too tired watching action movies, didn't have the energy - you know how it is, probably). Anyway, here is a simple pencil sketch of a robot that I hope to gussy-up like I did the most recent one, which you may or may not remember since it went up days and days ago.
284 (Progressions)
Here's what happened to Yesterday's Robot:
283 (sketchday)
I know, I know, it is lame to just put up an unfinished pencil sketch, but hear me out. I was busy this evening - I spent an enormous amount of time working on a poster for an event that is occurring this weekend. I know a lot of Americans celebrate Independence Day by watching fireworks or grilling red meat (one does not preclude the other, I guess), but I've taken to devoting the day to action movie marathons. I think that is all the explanation necessary for this:
262 (Hurried Afterthoughts)
This did not take very long, but that doesn't mean it's lousy.
Also, if I could remind you once again to please vote for the Daily Robot over at blog interviewer without coming off as desperate or rude, well, then I would. I don't know that I can though, so instead I will apologize for coming off as desperate and rude. Listen - we're only a few votes away from 3rd place, and I promise not to bug you about it once the month of May ends.

The engineers and programmers and scientists said to me, "You are made out of titanium alloys and copper wiring and silver plating and boron and selenium-15 in a state of decay." The investors and journalists and public relations people said to me, "You are made out of 1.3 trillion dollars and our hopes and tomorrows." The protesters said to me, "You are a horror made out of nightmares and folly and arrogance." But this evening, I shine gently, and I know: I am made of moonlight.
