I've been writing BG3 Gale fics for about 6 months now, but though I follow many of y'all, I realized I never introduced myself. So this is me saying hi, I'd love to engage a bit more with the fandom and offer my fics if you're interested!

Where Are You Going? (Where Have You Been?) - Rated E - Gale/Tav: Modern-Day AU: After years of silence between them, Tav and Gale, once close friends, reunite. The proud Gale Dekarios has much to answer and atone for if he wants to rekindle his friendship, and Tav has many grudges to work through. Thankfully, there's a hotel room for that.

It Only Takes a Taste - Rated E - Gale/Tav: In the lead-up to their marriage, Gale learns to indulge more.

That Other Life - Rated E - Gale/Tav: Post-Game: Tav was engaged to another, always destined to return to her fiancé after their shared adventure. Gale however, fell deeply in love with her, grasping onto her letters in the aftermath until an unexpected one arrived, making him question everything.

I Will Wake One Day, Don't Delay Me - Rated G - Gale/Tav: Tav cannot sleep, so Gale lends some magic to help. Only now, Tav finds herself restless for other reasons.

Unleashing - Rated E - Gale/Tav: After choosing to not detonate the orb beneath Moonrise Towers, Gale holds in his feelings regarding Mystra's deception. Tav, however, implores that he uses her to release that anger.

WIP

From my Your Protector sequel... had some time to write today and it got angsty! I know it's been some time since I shared anything with y'all. I promise I'm still writing slowly but steadily. Here's a little snippet!

“I don’t…” A pitiful laugh escaped his lungs. “I actually don’t know what to say.” His hands still grasped her biceps. If he let her go, he worried he might never be able to speak his mind.

“Say something, please.”

“Would it matter? Do my words matter to you? You are a ghost in this tower, barely living the life you fought so hard for. I thought finally deciding to go to Hueron would bring you peace and closure but for weeks you’ve nearly faded into obscurity at the prospect of it all. Who will you be when it’s done?”

The fire crackled, startling them both to look at the hearth then slowly back to one another. His heart raced, pounding in his ears desperately. Gale would hand it to her if he could, show her how it beat for her.

Little life check-in for y'all! I'm back to work which means the writing has slowed down, but it hasn't stopped! I'm still working away on my sequel to Your Protector, but that's kinda pushed off to weekends as I'm putting in close to 70 hour workweeks. I did write about 2k words today, so that's great! The current work balance is a bit off as my co-workers all came down with covid, so I've been working later/longer than I was supposed to. My show has also just started shooting and we're working out some kinks (me more so than ever before as a production manager).

All of which to say, I love ya and miss ya. I'm still perusing tumblr and basically using the Gale content to keep me content... see what I did there? 😏 Feel free to say hi or send HC requests or anything; it just might take a second to respond!

A WIP huh? Let's see...

Gale woke to a strange noise, the blinding light of day forcing his eyes shut as he cursed himself for forgetting to close the curtains. But oh, to be home and have the luxury to do so! Slowly blinking, he saw the rumpled sheets beside him yet no occupant. While concerning, it brought a modicum of relief, as while his imagination could run wild especially with Emmeline as his divine subject, the decidedly wet sound would be too debaucherous were it to come from her, even for his tastes.

At last sitting up, he found Tara at the foot of the bed, licking her paws and cleaning behind her wings. With a big stretch, she stalked over his blanket-covered legs.

“Ah, Mister Dekarios! How kind of you to finally wake and seize this day. I will wish you ‘good morning’ with the little remaining morning we have left.”

What is your favorite fic that you’ve written?

I know I've said it time and time again, but it's definitely Your Protector, maybe second to what I'm working on now!

What is one canon thing that you wish you could change?

Okay, let's please all agree that Gale eats his veggies. I don't buy it that he doesn't based off multiple other canon facts (and probably my own opinions lol). Sorry, not sorry.

What inspires you and your writing?

Real life is a big one. I've been reading fanfic and (attempting) writing for nearly 20 years now, but I noticed my writing only got better about 10 years ago because that's when I started living my adult life. I had been in relationships, lived alone, worked a job, experienced drama with partners, family, and friends... The more I lived, the more I became inspired to write realistically. Songs are also big inspirations. I won't deny hearing a line or a chorus and immediately asking myself how to write around it!
