What if the farmer's weirdo genes INFECT their spouse? as in, they either develop an EXTREMELY strong immune system and other health mutations because of being around the farmer and trading DNA through... other ways...
OR the more depressing one!

You could have Alex inherit their ability to run endlessly without getting tired. He goes for a morning run around the Valley as per usual only to find that he’s not getting winded in the slightest no matter how much he runs.
Or Haley tucks into a pink cake her spouse made her, only to wind up eating the whole thing in one bite like the farmer does.
Or Penny lugging around furniture and farm equipment like it weighs nothing.
Although I think Abigail would be excluded from that, since I’m pretty sure she’s already running on the same weirdo genes as the farmer; what with her eating rocks and all.

For anyone scared about losing fanfic sites like ao3 and fanfiction.net
Fanfiction's been around since the 1970s, being shared in closed circles through fanzines and other pen and paper formats.
We'll create new sites, find new places to post our work, and keep the medium alive. Be it private discord servers or random web forums or hell even going back to the bronze age format of physical books, we'll survive this.

Even Weird Al has had that™ experience with Tony Hawk
Tony Hawk IS Forrest Gump
So I looked up why and how this happened, and it turns out Weird Al hired a company called Birdhouse Skateboards to provide some “skate/punk” extras for the video. Birdhouse Skateboards is a company started by Tony Hawk, so not only did Weird Al end up putting Tony Hawk in his video without realizing it, he actually hired Tony Hawk’s company without realizing it! And then Tony Hawk just decided to go along as one of the extras himself.
BTW, he’d already won like 40 contests already, some of them international skateboarding contests. So it’s not like Weird Al cast some unknown skateboarder who ended up becoming World Famous Skateboarder, he was already well known and was running his own Skateboarding company.
Think of it this way. This wasn’t ‘Weird Al got Tony Hawk to be in his video’, this was ‘Tony Hawk found a way to be in a Weird Al Video.’
