Hey all! I've just graduated, and while I look for full time work in my field, I've decided to open commissions to help pay my bills.

What's on offer:

Character Sketch Page commissions -- this comes with the option of having either one character or two character in various poses on a single sketch page.

Between one and three poses will be coloured with flat colours, and the rest will have a single colour fill under the sketch layer.

1 Character = 150$ USD

2 Characters = 200$ USD

Single Character Pose commissions -- the options for this are Full body and half body, either with a simple background or no background.

The colours for this option will also be all flat colours with no shading.

Half body pose with no background = 45$ USD

Half body pose with simple background = 50$ USD

Full body pose with no background = 60$ USD

Full body pose with simple background = 70$ USD

Full Illustrations -- this option is a full painting and STARTS at 180$ USD, price is subject to increase based on how many characters are requested, how complicated the characters and costumes are, and how complicated the background is.

Limited Animation Character illustrations -- Simple lineart style with single fill colour underneath, with limited items animated (ie, the eyes blinking, sparkles, hair motion etc)

These commissions are 200$ USD

I prefer humanoids as I'm not as competent with animals, but they're not off the table and definitely up for discussion if you have a furry OC or something that you'd be interested in seeing drawn.

I will draw OCs as well as Fanart.

as in you'll never achieve the perfect daily routine, sleep schedule, coping mechanisms, mannerisms, fashion sense etc. even after years and years of healing and improvement and self-discovery. you will never be so good at life that you manage to utilize every waking moment. its great to be productive and all but sometimes you'll suck ass. sometimes you'll take eight hours to be done with a twenty minute job. you'll prioritize the wrong thing. you'll sleep for 12 hrs just to avoid being awake. you'll relapse. and you'll relapse again. you'll forget to turn in the assignment. you'll order too little food. life is far too large and complex for you to even experience it completely, much less try to make sense of and control it. you can't. please give up on that and be at peace with the hours you lose. they are not separate from your life.

I’ve been getting ebooks from the library (I have three local library systems that I’m entitled to get a card with, and I use all three) for a few years now, and I’m reading more and more widely, and discovering authors I then want to buy new releases from, and who’ve influenced my writing. Library ebook programs are great.

Heartwarming story: Little girl doesn’t have to do anything to fund her dad’s surgery because his expenses are covered by his country’s universal healthcare.

Human determination: Man bikes 18 miles to work every morning because he wants to and not because he can’t afford a car and would be fired if he’s late.

Spirit of Brotherhood: Neighbors host housewarming party for elderly resident who doesn’t need help in paying rent because his pension is more than enough.

Inspired by my coworkers being baffled at me getting up 2 and a half hours before I come in despite living 20 mins away

When I tell that I LOVE solarpunk

Oh, I remember this, the edit was done by youtuber Waffle to the left.

They didn't just cut out the parts with the oat milk, they skillfully edited over all the god-damn branding and replaced the audio.

But what I still find most hilarious about this whole commercial is the fact that everything they show in this solar punk world seems to be made with sustainable, zero waste and reusable materials.

Everything EXCEPT THE FUCKING CHOBANI BRANDED STUFF! The only plastic you see in this whole commercial is all the straight to the landfill packaging made by the very corporation that tries to sell how sustainable and "green" they are. Unintentional self satire at its finest.

They couldn't even show their yogurt and milk in (basically infinitely reusable) glass containers because they pretty much only sell their shit in plastic

It is such a perfect example of the true face of "green" capitalism, it's hilarious.

The punk in this solarpunk comes from cutting the corporation out of the picture

Another really interesting thing about this edit is that they changed the label on the side of the apple-picking machine.

From "donations" to "commons". It's a subtle change, but it makes a huge difference in the world-building of the video. The former implies that this big orchard belongs to an owner and that they're donating the fruits to "the less fortunate" (and, by extension, that poverty is still a thing); the latter implies that the orchard belongs to everyone and that the fruits are free to take in the spirit of solidarity.

Waffle To The Left brought out the potential in this gorgeous video and made it an actual solarpunk utopia — without brands and without corporate pandering, complete with true common ownership over land and resources.

I have a lot of respect for the guy who did the study about wolves, the one that came up with "alpha wolves". Because normally when you fuck up science, it just causes some delays and occasional pop-sci nonsense.

As if it's not already coming, already here and starting to bloom before our eyes.

Neighborhood cooking clubs and libraries lending out more then just books, it's the art club that the community garden started, it's the funky gardens my neighbors have.

It's the DIY projects ppl wear with pride and ones that hide in the back of their dresser drawer. It's in the magazines and podcasts and in passing hope forward.

Like gruella gardening alone is enough for proof of concept for me, but the rise in community events and potlucks and fighting for rent caps and UBI and decentalizing energy and gardening is happening now.

And yea I gotta fight nazis and dickwards daily for it, and I gotta spend the time to educate and build up as I take down, but they can't say this future isn't coming. I'm here with you right now in it.
