My gaffer really just said anything can be a hazer if you use it wrong enough
HEY TECHBLR!!!
Do any of you have (or know any other theatre/live event makers that have) Etsy shops? Or other shops of your creations online?
Products don't have to be theatre related!
I'm trying to get away from buying things on Amazon, and would absolutely love to support more people in our community!
If you have a shop, reblog or comment with how folks can find you online! Also tag more members of TECHBLR in this post if you see it! Trying to reach as many people in our community as possible!
a concept: zoom rehearsal but the lead knows how to unmute herself

One of the lighting supervisors is well known for asking for “some colour and movement”. So as a joke one of our board ops the other day blind programmed a sub with rainbow chase and mover ballyhoo effects.
When he inevitably asked it, the op slammed the sub up and the supervisor had to sit down he laughed so hard.
Story time:
I went to a bonfire activity with a friend and we finally got a little flame started. So one guy was gonna add some leaves and stuff to keep it burning and he warned us that there was about to be smoke. Without thinking, I just blurt out, "Thank you smoke!" And if that's not being a stage manager, then I don't know what is. They were all non-theatre people (except my friend who started dying of laughter) so they were a little confused.
