i think the biggest reason why i love susie so much is because of how grounded she is. a lot of people have pointed out that she's quite normal among her group. she doesn't really have a huge connection to the deeplore, she just wants to have a good time with her friends. and she cares about them so so goddamn much; personally i can't stop thinking about the post-spamton neo scene where she recognizes that kris isn't ok and doesn't move on until she ultimately makes kris smile. and everyone else's tea heals her so much because she loves them all. and she wants to bring darkners to the light world so she can spend time with all her friends every day. she's just so good.
