Yes, I get that she's underdeveloped and her artistry could use more work but from some of the comments I've seen, especially on Twitter and here on Tumblr, you'd think she was terrible. Isn't it great that she's super consistent and her jumps are well covered? That’s more than can be said for other US ladies. It's her Olympic debut, she has so much room to grow. Hope she doesn't see all the comments about her.

Many of the 90s kids who grew up with the movie are already running the world through internships, graduate programs, and apprenticeships so I concur that those critics can SHOVE IT in presuming to think it’s only tween girls going to see the musical
Anastasia (1997) sparked a life-long interest in history, and in learning in general, for me fifteen years ago. As a a eighteen year old, pre-med student who intends on making her mark on the world, I LOVED the musical.
I hope the show and its story inspires the same thirst for knowledge in all of the tween girls watching it, the same way it did for me so many years ago.
To reiterate my friend, Therese’s words: these critics can SHOVE it.
