Most people might not be aware, but the damage from Hurricane Helene has been devastating for the U.S. - particularly East Tennessee and West NC. An hour from where I live, cities have been completely wiped off the map - they're just gone. People have lost every last thing they owned. It's rare to see such devastating hurricane effects so far inland. But the wind and sheer amount of water overwhelmed nearby dams, which failed, causing water to completely wipe out and flood nearby cities. My partner and I will be going out to today to buy as much supplies as we can afford to donate. If you'd like to help with that, here's the link to my kofi and I will be more than happy to post pictures of the reciepts and supplies we buy as proof. Once I find a list of good places to donate monetarily, I will try to post them, but my city is really pushing for tangible materials to donate like water/toiletries/pet food/blankets, etc. Any help is much appreciated!

hi! as some of you know, about a year and a half ago, my beloved golden retriever Luke passed away from cancer. he was my very best friend. my mom and I had finally healed enough, so we got another golden retriever, Honey, and she is just the sweetest thing in the whole world—she’s practically Luke reincarnated. we haven’t had her long, but we are already enamored.

unfortunately, my mom came home from work recently and Honey was limping badly. she was taken to the emergency vet, and it was $400 just to have her be seen and ended up costing $600. she has a serious fracture in her hind leg. initially, we were told we may have to consider euthanasia, then we were told maybe just amputation. now they’re going to do a surgery to see if maybe they can save her leg. if not, amputation may still be on the table.

this initial surgery is going to be at LEAST $2,000. right now, those kinds of unexpected costs are just a lot for my mom right now, and I’m fresh out of college with not a lot of means to help her out financially. I know times are hard for everyone right now, but if you had even $5 to spare, I know it would help us out so much. Please Help Fund Beor's FIP Treatment

Hello everyone. It’s been a while.

Naturally, I’m here to beg for help.

My cat, Beor, was recently diagnosed with FIP. Historically, this diagnosis was a death sentence. Thankfully, there’s a new treatment option that gives him a chance at survival. Less thankfully, it’s incredibly expensive. If you’d like to hear more about our story and situation, please read the description on our GoFundMe.

I’ve been trying to think about ways I could thank everyone who has the ability to donate (and even those without the resources that wish us well). In that vibe, I want to offer a few gifts. Fun things. You know: let’s make the best out of the worst situation of my life so far.
