Just watched the dubbed version of episode 7. I didn’t think it was possible to cry any more than I have already at this moment, but then this version happened.

*Get your tissues ready.*

Bless the dub for making an already amazing episode even more amazing.  And I really loved the original.  But this version actually had me in tears.  Maybe being in a language I could understand was part of it, but I dunno.

The only part I felt was better in the original was Sorey’s freak out scene when he finds Mikleo gone.  But it’s still good, and Sorey has so much tenderness and heartfelt emotion going on throughout the episode, that it makes up for it.

Aside from the ending, the other part I really loved was Mikleo’s talk with Lailah.  Oh man.  Some of the dialogue was altered, and I didn’t mind so much, because I suspect if they directly translated Lailah’s line to ‘you really like him’, it honestly wouldn’t have the same impact in English without some more context.  Saying ‘he really means a lot to you’ leaves the same ambiguity that the original line had.  And while how Mikleo responds to that wasn’t altered from what was in the subs, what I wasn’t expecting was that delivery. 

Mikleo says ‘we’re just stuck together’ like he’s making an emotional confession.  It sounds like he’s saying ‘I love him’, when he says that line.  I mean, we all knew that, but oh my god.  I was honestly expecting the dub to get all ‘no homo’ with that line.  Bless Michael Johnston and his VO director. <3

You can also hear the emotional vulnerability in that scene, and his voice gets so soft when he talking about Sorey.  There’s also a little of that tenderness to his voice during the wine testing scene; I think the dub of this episode was trying to find ways of destroying me more completely than the first time I saw it.

Bless Ufotable and bless the dub.  I will never recover.

I tried hard but I couldn’t resist. The chapter 4 and 5 were just too good. Also I know in chapter 4 Mikleo should be wearing a dress but I don’t know why I had this outfit in my head and I just wanted to draw it.

This is just right for Mikleo’s ch.4 costume tbh I was imagining something Grecian, so a tunic like this is perfect.

I am really happy because I was sick today but now I feel good X3

The idea was for something passionate so somehow it resulted in something different. Prince Sorey, his mad screams of love, and the frog prince.
