The historically black college is set to begin admitting trans students.

Someone at Spelman College is writing hateful messages and slipping them under doors in the dorms, and the university president is speaking out strongly against whoever it is.
"Keep your tran out of our bathrooms,” reads one note, signed only “Thanks!" Spelman is a historically black college for women in Atlanta, and it announced last year that transgender women will be admitted beginning with the fall 2019 semester.
All the notes claim to speak for a large group of people, according to reports by CNN and The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. ”We don't want you ... freaks! No queers!" Perhaps the most threatening of all: ”#DIE ... We don't want you here."
Spelman president Mary Schmidt Campbell wrote an open letter Tuesday in which she addressed “the perpetrator.”
“Here’s a message for the perpetrator: You are not Spelman College,” wrote Campbell.

Red Wing died Monday at her home in Des Moines, The Des Moines Register reports.

14 Times Miley Cyrus Supported the LGBT Community

Yes, Miley, 22, is one of the most ardent and vocal LGBT rights advocates Hollywood has ever known! Here’s a timeline of her activism:

2009: In April, during the annual Miss USA pageant, Miss California Carrie Prejean tells contest judge Perez Hilton she believes only heterosexual couples should be allowed to legally marry. Afterward, in a Twitter conversation about the remark to Hilton, 16-year-old Miley tweets, "Everyone deserves to love and be loved and most importantly smile."

Barbara Gittings was a key figure in the campaign to persuade mental health groups to declassify homosexuality as a disorder. She also participated in one of the first gay rights demonstrations at the White House, in 1965, calling for an end to antigay discrimination in federal employment. She’s often called the mother of the gay rights movement.
