Elohim.

So I'm currently caught in the balance between a crazy season at work, and the reality of the most wonderful holiday season here in the USA. It's so easy to let life consume us; to get overwhelmed at the slightest sense of pressure and busyness. I've been soaking to this song "Elohim" by @hillsongworship tonight. Such a beautiful reminder of God's dearest qualities. I love this lyric "His ways are higher than my own, His thoughts consume the great unknown". Take a breath. Breathe. Selah. The Father's holding you in His capable hands. His Son has already overcome, and already won EVERY battle and situation that you're facing. His Spirit has every practical resource that you'd ever need to get up and move forward. "I stand upon the solid rock of faith in Christ. This steadfast hope shall not break apart within the trial. I am assured His promises will never fail. As long as life remains He is faithful. God is patient. God is kind. He does not envy. He does not boast. His ways are higher than my own. His thoughts consume the great unknown. Of this alone I am sure, my God is love. I draw my breath under His created windswept sky. I know my hope shall last long after my flesh retires. From dusk until the dawn He calls His children home. His righteous love outlasts generations. He is Almighty God. Elohim. Maker of the earth. He is the Lord of hosts. Heaven’s King. God of endless worth. His kingdom stands above every power, every living soul. His love is like the sun, ever true, shining over all."

In Jesus’ Name - original print from The Worship Project.

I woke up this morning to my room absolutely flooded with that early morning golden glow. I felt the Lord drawing close to me again, coming near afresh.

As I settled in to my morning routine of devotions and coffee, I was reminded of God’s goodness and faithfulness amidst the battles of life. I’m in a much better place than I was recently, but I’m very aware that for every good day/week/month, there’s a time when it’s hard; when I’ve gotta know God’s character and the reality of His power surrounding me.

This song by Darlene Zschech has been an absolute lifesaver in times of trial and suffering. I hold firmly that the power and spirit of God is made manifest in this song, through Darlene’s prophetic declarations.

I pray that wherever you are, whatever you’re facing this day - good, bad or otherwise, you’ve gotta KNOW the character of Christ. He’s always interceding for us, He’s on our side always, He’s fighting our battles and filling us afresh with strength to conquer EVERY opposition we face.

You are loved. You are made perfect. You are His pride, His joy. He spins around in delight over you, and NOTHING you’ve done could stop His love.

“God is fighting for us, pushing back the darkness. Lighting up the Kingdom, that cannot be shaken. In the Name of Jesus the enemy's defeated.”

Jesus, What a Beautiful Name - original print from The Worship Project.

What do you do when it's freezing cold outside, and the rain is pouring down? Have sweet meals with friends, drink quality coffee, and listen to Christmas music! It's been such a wonderfully lazy Sunday today. My afternoon was spent with one of my favorite holiday worship albums - "Jesus Christmas" by Hillsong.

I know that today's lyrics aren't strictly a Christmas song, but I'm coming to realise more and more that so many songs of worship could double as Christmas songs if we just played them seasonally. "Jesus What A Beautiful Name" is one of my all-time favorite songs of worship. It was written by a then-fifteen-year-old Tanya Riches during her time at Hillsong.

It's a simple song of adoration and celebration of Jesus; of all that He's done for us. It also features many different names of God, which I love - how beautiful to be reminded of all the different facets of God.

As we begin this last week of advent, and we look forward with anticipation to the day of His birth, I pray that you behold Him anew; that you see Him face-to-face. If you already know this song, sing along to the lyrics and marvel at His loving kindness. If you've never heard this song, I encourage you to find it (Spotify and YouTube) and behold the beauty of His precious name afresh.

All Things Are Possible - original print from The Worship Project.

Some quick encouragement for your journey! Our salvation is guaranteed through Jesus Christ.

Jesus tells of the great inheritance that awaits those who leave earthly things for His sake...Matthew 19: 25-30

"When the disciples heard this, they were greatly astonished and asked, “Who then can be saved?” Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” Peter answered him, “We have left everything to follow you! What then will there be for us?” Jesus said to them, “Truly I tell you, at the renewal of all things, when the Son of Man sits on his glorious throne, you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. Everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or fields for my sake will receive a hundred times as much and will inherit eternal life. Many who are first will be last, and many who are last will be first."

Day Is Dimming - original print from The Worship Project.

This is one of my favourite songs of worship. It’s a beautiful gem from New Zealand singer/songwriter Brooke Fraser. This song was never officially released on an album, but it was included as a “B-side” on her CD single “Deciphering Me”. I’m so thankful to Brooke for this song. It’s kept me on the straight-and-narrow many times.

“The day is dimming and I'm yearning for You. I won't be satisfied till I see Your face. Every victory, every loss, Every tick and every cross...You can put them all in place”.

You Have Made Me Glad - original print from The Worship Project.

Day 16 / 31  #‎MonthOfPraise‬

Today I spent time being glad. Choosing to see all the blessings that God has brought my way. I reveled in His presence and thanked Him for His unfailing love and constant, everlasting goodness toward me.

These beautiful lyrics from Miriam Webster resound in my heart as I finish this day. I pray that these words wash over you afresh. Wherever you are on this earth, invite His rule and reign into your life and heart. He will make you glad!

"I will bless the Lord forever, I will trust Him at all times. He has delivered me from all fear, He has set my feet upon a rock. I will not be moved; and I'll say of the Lord...You are my shield, my strength, my portion, deliverer, my shelter, strong tower, my very present help in time of need."

Hear Our Praises - original print from The Worship Project.

It's an older song, but the truth of what Reuben Morgan was prophetically declaring is so relevant to us today. This is one of those declarations that I want my life to be a representation of.

A life that is a song of joy unto the Lord. That I would be found dancing in whatever circumstance I'm in, that our homes, our cities, and our nations, would magnify and glorify Jesus, because of the way that we live our lives - in purity, and in righteousness, walking blameless before our Father, through Christ Jesus.

If you haven't done it today...get up and dance. Go somewhere private if you feel the need, but dance. REJOICE in the Lord. Always! Let your heart sing, fill your home, fill your street with JOY.

10,000 Reasons (Bless the Lord O My Soul) - original print from The Worship Project.

I was devastated to hear of the brutal executions that took place this morning in Bali. I’ve been following this developing story for a while, and I was so humbled to hear of their commitment to Jesus in everything they are facing.  Just before the executions took place, the convicted prisoners were together, singing “Bless the Lord O My Soul”, their faith was more important than their fear of death.

10,000 Reasons was already on my “list” of songs to write for the project, and I just think this is so profoundly fitting today. Can I encourage us, as people of faith in Jesus, let’s use #TenThousandReasons and let’s tell their story - and tell our own. How are we standing up for Jesus - even in the face of hideous opposition?

Shout to the Lord - original print from The Worship Project.

“My Jesus, my Saviour. Lord there is none like You. All of my days, I want to praise the wonders of Your mighty love. My comfort, my shelter, tower of refuge and strength. Let every breath, all that I am, never cease to worship You.”

Thank you Darlene Zschech. This is a beautiful song. A simple cry from a yearning heart. It puts God in His rightful place, and sums up what should be our heart's cry as believers..."let EVERY breath, ALL that I am, NEVER CEASE to worship YOU."

Updated from the original print I designed back in March 2013!

This song just impacted me again and again recently. I wanted to try and give it a beautiful print and do justice to the power and melancholy of this beautiful worship song from Hillsong United.

I love you, I need you, though my world may fall, I'll never let you go. My Saviour, my closest friend, I will worship you until the very end.”

The King of Love - original typography from The Worship Project.

The King of Love My Shepherd Is - H.W.Baker (1868)

“The King of love my Shepherd is, whose goodness faileth never. I nothing lack if I am His, and He is mine forever. And so through all the length of days, thy goodness faileth never; Good Shepherd, may I sing Thy praise within Thy House forever.”

This old hymn is incredibly inspiring. Based on Psalm 23.

Rest in His promises today and always friends! x

Just really loving some of the old designs from the original 365 project - and having some fun re-designing them for 2014!

Lyrics taken from Darlene Zschech's song "I Know It" from Hillsong's album "All Things Are Possible" from 1997.
