The most PATHETIC lil baby sounds...
I love when little creatures who are entirely loved and well cared for have the BIGGEST baby reactions to normal things. Like yes sweet pea, you DO have the hardest life of anyone ever, for sure, and you’re SO BRAVE about this minor inconvenience of *checks notes* having some water touch you
shut up this is the only video I care about
"Dachshund car-wash rave" sounds like it's a nonsensical combination of words; but it actually describes this pretty well.
The audio is the start of 'Sandstorm' (Darude), plus some incidental sound (mostly barking), with the tiktok voice narrating two sentences at the beginning.
reblog to do this w your mutuals
I have heard fisher cats’ vocalizations being described as screams or cries of kids or children… but I never understood exactly how uncanny their actual sounds are!
These cats are powering up
They literally do sound like children pretending to be animals. That’s wild.
damn
It’s becausw they’re Lesser Cats!
Cats can basically be split into Lesser Cats and Greater Cats. Greater Cats can roar, but can’t purr. Lesser Cats can purr, but not roar. When Lesser Cats want to be Loud and Aggressive, they kind of have to make weird yowling sounds because they can’t really roar or yell. Their throats just arent made to do that. Its why housecats just yowl at each other.
A dog's primary language is body language, so things like hand signals and sign language they'll learn even faster than verbal cues!
People really underestimate their pet dogs. I taught my dogs what 'excuse me' means by just saying it and nudging them out of the way. Now I don't have to worry about them getting underfoot when I'm holding a hot pan- I say 'excuse me' and they move. There's a hand gesture I use when I'm done giving them treats so they know there's no point begging for anything else.
They even know what 'accident' and 'I'm sorry' means. Anyone who has ever accidentally stepped on their dog's tail or done something else that hurts or scares them, and laments how they can't tell their dogs they didn't mean it?
You can. Literally, any time it happens, say that you're sorry and it was an accident while showering them with affection. If you have more than one dog you'll see they do that kind of thing when they accidentally hurt each other. If you act the same way and say the same words every time something happens, they'll learn what the word means. Hell, I accidentally taught my dogs to act really gentle and not get too close when they're around puppies and infants (or any animal delicate and small) just by always going 'that's a baby' very seriously and firmly any time they were around one.
Going through older videos I found this from years ago and thought it may interest you.
This was taken at a tide pool at Bar Beach on the east coast of Australia.
I spotted something in here that didn’t quite look like a rock and it turned out to be this little octopus.
The animal was very curious and interactive and would reach out for my finger so I could pull it through the water.
It felt like it was playing a game with me and this process of holding my finger and getting pulled through the water then darting back repeated for quite some time and it was more me who ended the interaction as couldn’t stick around at the beach much longer.
At no point in the interaction did I hold its tentacle myself so it being pulled by me was entirely of its own decision as if it wanted to it could let go at any time.
I still think about it now and wonder if it tried playing this game with others who got close enough.
This was my first hands on interaction with an octopus and what surprised me was just how gentle and precise it was with its tentacle arm when it reached for and held my finger.
I feel so lucky to have been in just the right place at the right time to have gotten to experience this and I definitely understand how people who have these experiences with octopus say it’s like a bond you can’t quite describe forms between you and it.

This is incredible and I love this octopus so much
This is so sweet
Also OP knew octopi and identified the octopus as a safe species before doing this but for those who don't know, do not touch Australian octopi if you aren't sure what species they are, some of them are so so venomous and your death would not be painless

FUN FACT! I've seen this post on various blogs for quite some years and I can finally tell you guys: I know this cat! It is THIS VERY ONE:
The bar is called Prik obviously, it's in Amsterdam, and last time I checked, the cat is called "Prikkedik" (I've left Facebook a long time ago so maybe they've replaced her since, idk).
It's also a very nice gay bar with Very Nice People by the way. Highly recommended if you want a gay cocktail in Amsterdam Centrum (10-15 mins walk from Cantral Station). The cat may be hard to find when it's busy on evenings.
And on the second picture you can even see where the first pic was taken:
Thank you for attending my TED talk.
Please clap.
they have him on their website 🧡
more vampires should turn into these creepy little sideways sitting chimney birds
A very shy maned wolf stopping for a visit at a monastery in Brazil for a bite to eat provided by monks. Because of their super long legs, they walk more like giraffes than typical canines. Maned wolves pose no threat to humans.
