Danny, now an adult, works as an engineer and tech developer for Wayne Enterprises. One day, he has to bring his daughter, Ellie, into work with him. Ellie’s school had been temporarily shut down after a rouge attack, and the campus isn’t yet safe for the students to return to.
College student Danny Fenton is taking a much needed break from his studies, sitting on the roof of his apartment building. He’s sleep deprived and a little delirious, watching several of the Gotham vigilantes grappling between buildings in the distance.
“Do birds ever just fly for fun, or are they always on some kind of mission?”
Danny isn’t talking to anyone, he’s up on the roof on his own to de-stress. He was just thinking out loud.
So when he heard a snort and a chuckle from behind him, Danny felt like he was justified in his reaction of not only swearing, but also throwing a solid right hook at the same time that he spun around to see who the hell was there.
He didn’t mean to punch anyone in the face.
Another crack idea I had starring Ellie mistaking a batboy as her mother (Danny) (just an idea, not a fic sadly)
It had been a few months now since Ellie had last heard from Danny, let alone anyone from Amity. Her calls were being blocked, and she guessed that meant everyone within the city were likely unable to make outgoing calls either. Going this long without her mom template checking in on her was not only unusual but also very, very concerning. Especially knowing that Tucker should have been more than capable of getting around whatever security measures had been put up to block incoming calls like this. Whether this was the GIW or somebody else Ellie had no idea. She was completely in the dark and completely and utterly alone as she hunted any sliver of information she could find on the Amity situation.
I had an idea but I don’t know what to do with it.
Basically Danny for whatever reason starts calling Tim ‘Moth’ instead. Because the word moth is in the name Timothy.
I don’t know why he’s doing it. Neither does Tim. Danny just noticed everyone called him Tim or some variant of that. Examples are: Timbit, Timbers, Timmy, etc
So, to be different, Danny just starts calling him Moth. Much to his and his family’s confusion.
What if he does this with everyone
Like....
Dick (Richard) becomes like Chad or something.
Jason could be Ace.
Cass (Cassandra) could be Andy.
Damian could be Ian.
Steph (Stephanie) could be Annie.
I think Alfred would be dismayed if Danny called him Fred or Freddy, so Alfred's the only one who still be called Al, Alfred, Alfie.
But what about Duke tho?
He can call Alfred “Alfredo Sauce”
He can call Duke “Earl”
These are all incredible and I’m cackling at ‘Alfredo Sauce’
I just wanted to add as well that now I’m imagining him purposefully misnaming all of th as vigilantes.
Batman gets called Robin
Robin gets Signal
Nightwing gets Batwoman
Black Bat gets Red Robin
Etc

A severely sleep deprived Red Robin crashes through Danny’s window in the background, landing on the floor and immediately passing out.
Danny, looking back to the camera with a deadpan expression: …and morons.
Jazz had been pacing back and forth in her apartment, managing to stop herself from ripping out her hair through sheer willpower. He was meant to have arrived nearly four hours ago and he still wasn’t answering his phone.
Danny uses his shapeshifting abilities to disguise himself as a magic user’s familar. Only problem, he’s not great at the shapeshifting yet. Don’t be alarmed, he’s never gotten stuck as something else!
It’s just that…most familiar’s take the form of an animal. And Danny has been having a little trouble when shifting into animal form. He keeps getting them mixed up, and comes out looking like someone’s botched science experiment.
Do you take asks/requests for prompts?
If so I’d love to see more Duke x Sam.
Maybe a continuation where Sam returns to Gotham to attend a protest and invites Duke along? But Duke needs to be there as Signal to make sure things don’t get violent because of counter-protesters? Could provide some delicious angst. 😋
And maybe Sam clocks Duke as a vigilante given her history with knowing Danny?

I’ve actually been meaning to write more for Gala Buddies! I’m just not as confident in Duke’s characterisation, so I was a bit nervous about accidentally writing him wrong as I don’t know as much about Signal as I do a lot of the other bats that tend to be more of a focus in fics and media.
But!
I absolutely love your idea, and I think that could be a fantastic way to have Sam clock him as a vigilante.
I had a few more ideas for Gala Buddies that would fit in between their first meeting and then Sam returning to Gotham, so I’ll try to get everything written down and in order.
The Ultraviolet ship needs more love and if I gotta write for it myself then I will.
Prompt idea:
“Do you ever get homesick?”
Danny shrugs his shoulders, kicking up a small cloud of dirt as he digs his toe into the ground. His hair drops in front of his eyes slightly, obscuring the way they start to water.
“Can’t really be homesick when there isn’t anywhere I belong.”
This is unfinished because I felt like I kept screwing up Jason’s characterisation a bit. Gotta work on that.
Jason glanced up at the clock hanging on the wall to his left, it’s was 2:57 on Halloween. His patrol wasn’t due to start for a few more hours, but something tugged at him that cause him to feel like something was going to happen. He wasn’t sure if it was a good or bad feeling just yet. He just knew that whatever is was put him on edge.
Sam Manson glares out across the sea of the rich, snobby ‘elite.’ The people mingling with one another, all fake smiles and false niceties slipping from their lips easily. Every face a mask they put on to hide their true selves from the view of the public. They made Sam sick. She hated Galas, particularly the ones that took her away from Amity.
So of course, her parents had insisted that they simply must attend the gala in Gotham being held by none other than Bruce Wayne. They couldn’t miss out on the opportunity to see their old pal again.
Ellie couldn’t stand Nightwing.

The night sky was lit up in a canopy of colour, mainly greens and reds, as anti-ghost guns and heavy artillery were fired in all directions. The onslaught of noise and harsh light from the GIW’s ray guns made Danny’s already aching head spin.
