this drawing drained my life force but it looks cool as hell so its worth it
When he had found out that the hermits came through the rift, he was excited, hopeful. He thought that somehow his soulmate had come through.
"So, who all came through the rift?"
Grian could see the hope in his eyes.
"Oh Joel... I'm so sorry. Etho didn't come through."
"Oh... Oh well. Guess I'll just have to wait right?" the god just laughed sadly, not really knowing how else to react.
"How do you even remember Double Life?"
"I remember a lot of things, Grian. Not sure why."
"Ah well. I'll see you later then, need to go make sure the hermits aren't getting themselves into trouble. Take care."
"Yeah, I will. Bye G."
Grian turned before he left, leaving Joel with one last bit of information.
"I'm sure Etho'll turn up at some point. I haven't talked to him much since after Double Life, but I know he remembers. He'll find his own weird way here."
And then the avian was off, leaving Joel to himself.
That was a foolish decision.
or
When Joel finds out Etho didn’t come through the rift, he decides to take things into his own hands
"You know what this place could use? Some Mezalean heads!"
Scott just stood, staring at the eleven foot god.
"Joel, what in the world is a Mezalean head?"
Joel froze for a second before quickly saving it.
"New toys! I don't have them stocked just yet, but by tomorrow they will be for sale in the toy barn!"
"And what exactly do these toys look like?"
The god stood for a moment, trying to come up with a design for this nonexistent toy on the spot.
"They look like a creature I saw in a book. They're mossy and mushroomy and cover in azalea leaves. The place they live is called- uh- it's called Mezale! So I call them Mezaleans."
"Actually you're right! Those could look so cool under here!"
Joel let out a sigh of relief that Scott actually belived him.
Problem was, now he had to create enough toys to stock up the shop by tomorrow.
If only he had been more careful with his words, this wouldn't have happened. It's not like a mortal like Scott would have understood anyway.
He said his farewells and left, saying that he'd probably add toy sherriffs to this black market Scott has going on.
The flight back home was nice, but every time Joel saw something that remotely reminded him of Mezalea his mind would travel back in time. Just for a split second. For a split second, he would be back at his palace. Or he'd be back at his and Lizzie's wedding. Or he'd be looking at his palace after it had been split in half by the reactor.
He needed to lie down.
pretty sure i've never posted this here buttake my rmpiressona!
i like to imagine thatvit sometimes goes to stratos to look at the buildings and draw them
just had another idea so im expanding on this headcanon
the effects of him being red life never fully left
theres always that thought in the back of hos mind telling him to kill and cause chaos
joel ignored that feeling though, at least until joey stole the stratos sphere
jimmy, he could deal with. he never stole and wasnt a threat
but joey? well he stole the stratos sphere, something that joel loved
so, joel decided to take something joey loved
the ship burns
everything burns
it was freeing and addictive, the chaos
burning joeys ship and docks felt so good
joel decided then that he would embrace the chaos
headcanon time!
oli still has some features from his origins, although he still looks mostly human
for example, water still stings him, not enough to hurt but enough to be an annoyance (enderian)
contrary to that, he can still somewhat breathe underwater (atling)
a small part of his skin is wood, though its not very noticeable (forestborn)
every now and then when he gets hit my a mob or player theyll get hurt instead (thornling)
the cold doesn't really bother him too much (iceling)
sometimes he gets a craving for blood, and he also has paler skin (vampire)
he has wings, though they're translucent and he cant really fly with them (fairyborn)
its my personal headcanon that e2!joel remembers all of the life series and i will be incorporating it into everything
xornoth uses it/they/he pronouns bc i said so
it was for the empires musical pog
oh my god xornoths song fucking slaps
empires my absolute beloved
THERES ANOTHER HOLY SHIT
why is he kinda...
had an idea, but i'm not good at executing said idea so here's a messy attempt
Scott was losing his sense of self.
He could feel it.
Every time he respawned as a new creature, or 'Origin' as the others called it, he forgot more of his life while, well, alive.
While a moth, he had felt calm.
The strangest thing about it was the fact that normal food made him sick.
All he could eat was leather, and it tasted good.
All throughout his time as a moth, he could remember most of his life as king of Rivendell, though he did forgot the smaller things.
For example, he couldn't for the life of him remember what the last thing he built there was.
Another strange thing about the server was the familiar faces.
It hurt his heart to see Jimmy again, though the thornling didn't seem to remember him.
There were people call Gem and Fwhip, who looked nearly identical to Scott's friends (were they his friends? he couldn't quite remember) on Empires.
They were different though. The two weren't siblings, in fact their first Origins were mortal (?) enemies, with Fwip as an Ilusioner and Gem as a Villager.
There was also the case of Joel and Lizzie.
While Scott knew that Joel didn't die, (don't ask how, he doesn't know either) he was never sure what happened to Lizzie.
He had been told that Lizzie had forgotten herself, so there really was no way of knowing of this was the same personas the Ocean Queen.
When Scott had died after foolishly not retreating the Nether, he had forgotten if he really was an elf when he was alive.
He knew his brother was a demon, so maybe he was as well?
He didn't know.
He certainly felt like it fit.
He didn't understand why he had been so kind to people.
Being a vampire was fun, though he didn't like not being able to go into the sun.
When Shubble had recruited him to her little group of villains, he had felt strange about it, but brushed the feeling off.
He didn't feel bad for killing Angel Sausage, which was probably because they weren't on the best terms in Empires.
When the group had gone to Jimmy's to mess with him, Scott was hesitant to do anything.
He ignored that feeling.
