Summary: Larry James finds a heartbroken Cordell Walker sobbing over the dead body of his wife and helps him home after dropping her body off for the autopsy. The children are shocked on hearing the news, and Stella yells at her father and wishes him death in front of everyone in a fit of grief induced rage. Would things ever be alright again?

Summary: When a case hits Cordell too close to home, he's already on edge of a breakdown, and a little inconvenience becomes the straw that breaks the Camel's back. Larry James thinks he will have a good time catching up with Cordell, only to find him having a breakdown. What happens next? (Note: This one has WHUMP)

Summary: Emily’s murderer and the mastermind behind it had both been arrested. So why was Cordell feeling so numb instead of being elated?

Summary: It was the middle of June and and Cordell Walker and Cassie Perez had been deployed again to deliver evidence from the Austin HQ to all the way to the Bailey County Courthouse, and they had been instructed to be back “by eight hours at any cost”, and also been warned against any peeking into the evidence, or they’d lose their jobs.

Maybe you are focusing on your grades or your career right now. Maybe your mental illness is preventing you from writing like you used to. Maybe you’ve just had a baby and all your time and energy is going into caring for them. Maybe you are desperately looking for a job and that’s all you can focus on right now. Maybe you are caring for a sick or disabled family member. Maybe you just feel really burned out right now. Maybe, for whatever reason, you don’t have the time or energy or motivation to write right now. 

That’s okay.

If you still feel that you’re a writer, if you still want to be a writer, then you are still a writer!

We don’t have to write during any phase of our lives to be writers. Writing will always be there. It’s waiting patiently for your return. And it has a lot of patience. So even if it takes years, writing will still be there for you. You are still a writer.

One of my favourite things when reading fanfiction is when you click with an author's style so much that you adore the fanfiction you're reading, and once it's over you need more. So you go to their page and hope that there's more for any fandom you might know- only there isn't any. They've written for other fandoms you aren't familiar with and never would've thought about before.

But you're down so bad for their style and talent that they got you wading in like:

still shivering and since the day news came out I can't explain how horrible and miserable i feel. she was a brave girl fought till her last breath may she rests in peace and gets justice and whoever is behind this must get the most brutal and cruel death possible.

MY BELOVED! THIS IS FANDOM. Fandom is supposed to be fun and enjoyable and lighthearted! It is a hobby, not a job!

Reblogs are lovely! Comments are lovely! Sharing content is lovely! And some amount of it is necessary to keep the space active/functioning, I know, but...

You aren't obligated to comment on every fic you read, or even every fic you like. It's lovely when you do! It makes the author's day! But fanfiction is free; you don't have to pay for it.

You aren't obligated to reblog every poll you vote in. It's nice when you do! More votes are always lovely! But it's not an obligation.

And so on and so forth. Yes, these things are the lifeblood of fandom... When it's genuine. When you like a poll or a post so much that you want to share it with friends. When you like a fic so much that you want to tell the author. But when it becomes transactional... You're missing the point.

Fandom is a hobby. So let it be a hobby. No more guilt-tripping people. And if you're feeling guilty because of those posts, I'm gently cupping your cheek and reminding you that fandom is supposed to be fun. Lurkers are welcome. And yes, I'd love feedback from you. We all would. But if you're not ready, or not up for it, or even if you just don't want to...
