thought about enjolras and grantaire for too long ended up on the ground haven’t moved in 162 years
while we're at it absolutely miss me with the idea that enjolras is a completely detached and unloving person who doesn't care for anyone or anything besides 'revolution'. you cannot convince me that this man doesn't cry and hug his pillow at night thinking about how much he loves his friends. he just doesn't know how to show it.
Okay so I saw Les Mis again last night (Friday night) and let me tell you. Fucking Kyle Adams man. That man understands Grantaire on another level. His Grantaire is book accurate, musical accurate and accurate to himself. His Grantaire is 100% the cynic, the nonbeliever but he’s also a lover. He clearly loves his friends, Gavroche, and Enjolras especially. He and Christian Mark Gibbs (who I haven’t heard much about on here) play phenomenally together. Grantaire loves Enjolras. And Enjolras is clearly fond of (and annoyed by) Grantaire. The panic, sadness and fear portrayed by Kyle Adams from Drink With Me on is both heart wrenching and beautiful. Truly no one loves light like a blind man.
Would being called big dog fix me? Who knows?

"What's up, big dog; I'm ratsmacker" is going to live rent free in my head for a little while
Boys who up smacking they rat?
Shoutout to Kyle Adams for singing "Drink with Me" right at Enjolras. Facing him directly, staring into his soul, his voice breaking. 12/10 I'll never recover
I think that the Enjoltaire people are so crazy because while a whole revolution is happening they’re paying attention to the most curious details in the musical, and I love it
Some low ratings for Les Misérables that I liked on Goodreads.
Being very actively into Les Misérables is so weird because at the same time it's known world wide but also most people don't know it enough or aren't into enough so I can just intensely talk about it with someone irl like I could with other fandoms (like animes, games, or movies) and if I do meet someone who is into a bit more irl it's almost always bc they used to have a Les mis musical phase when the movie came out in 2012 so it doesn't hit the same for someone who reads the book and watched several adaptations
And it's known worldwide and popular enough to have countless adaptations and people who studied it in a academic way but not popular enough to really find good or a lot of fan content outside of Tumblr (I mean i kinda get it bc of the themes but still i wish i could actively engage with it more on other platforms)
les mis enjoltaire fans will find the worst, grainiest, blinded by stage lights, most corrupted 30 seconds of bootleg on the world wide web and go "THEY HELD HANDS HEREEE"
First Grantaire in a while.
Apologies for just sending an unprovoked message through your DMs, but I'm curious if you are interested in doing a Les Mis RP at all?
I was searching through some old ass threads and you replied someone's ad...back in 2021. 💀 And I figured since you were still active-ish on here I might have a chance at a reply. 🤷🏻♀️
omg hi yes i do still RP les mis!
I can't believe there are people out there that go and watch Les Misérables and don't cry over the silly drunk cynic that's in love with their ambitious, god-like leader.
i’m still thinking about Kyle Adams as Grantaire last weekend.
Grantaire is my comfort character and literally still DAYS later i’m sat here thinking about what an amazing portrayal he gave.
I literally was giggling quietly batting my poor husbands arm any time R did basically anything lol.
I just hope he knows that the Les Mis community loves him and i cannot tell him enough how much i personally loved and appreciated his performance.
