i feel like i need to preface this by saying i ultimately just don’t really care but i’ll chat a bit in the tags! (it turned into a bit of a long rant x just food for thought)
#that was not me saying i don’t want to talk about it btw just truly cannot stress enough that i’ve not kept up with obx for years#anyway!!#yes that’s what i’ve seen people say#i can’t really confirm or deny since i haven’t even seen the scene 😭#and honestly if the rumours that they used stunt doubled bc of some feud between them or whatever. i guess you could call it unprofessional#but to me the thing is#1) the feud rumours seem parasocial to start with#there might’ve been a completely different reason for the use of stunt doubles#2) if i imagine being them for the past few years i wouldn’t even really blame them? 😭#from what i remember it was pretty clear niether of them wanted the show to take the jiara route which you could say is just part of-#-their job as actors but then to have fans start to ship THEM and all that idek seems awful#it’s almost reminding me of the later seasons of riverdale when the cast just so clearly didn’t want to do it anymore 😭#like that one interview where one of them said ‘i still have a nice long contract’ or something???#& with what i personally see as obx getting worse which each season i honestly think like#rudy saw a way to get away from the show once his contract ended and he took it#and i don’t blame him lol#anyway this turned into a longer rant than expected#i’m not saying people don’t have the right to be disappointed i just think that should not jump over into hate towards the actors#(also this is something that happens so frequently?? it’s always sad when an actor leaves a show you like but ultimately it’s their life-#-and if they’re unhappy with where they are i won’t blame them for leaving)
