I’m not sure how many people signed up for All Thor Feelings All The Time when they came around this blog, but I’m really not sorry that I’m putting a whole lot of that on your dash and I probably won’t slow down any time soon. ♥Thor’s vision was a great use of his character and is exactly how I wanted him to be used–someone who cares very much about Earth, who is 100% here to protect it, but also has ties to the greater Cosmic Marvel stuff. Given that Infinity War is going to take up Avengers 3 and Avengers 4, they needed a bridge between the Earth stuff and the Space stuff. Thor is absolutely that link. He’s in the perfect place to recognize things that the other Avengers wouldn’t and the movie used him really well for that! BUT EVEN MORE THAN THAT you know what AOU did? They used those visions to show Thor’s character, how he handles being shown his worst fears.Yeah, he’s cocky and a little arrogant (but he can back that up, too, so), but when he’s shown the thing that’s lurking in the depths of his subconscious? He goes right back and faces it again, he seeks it out and doesn’t surrender to it. He doesn’t just withstand it or tolerate it, he goes out and does something about it, he doesn’t sit idly by.He’s not consumed by his fears, he doesn’t go off the rails because of them, he knows they’re there and he’ll go right back to them if it’s necessary to get more information that will help people.Thor is physically strong, but he’s also hella emotionally strong, too. That dude is built like a god in body and in spirit.
