I used to read Enjonine fanfiction (before I knew about Enjoltaire) and like, not that there's anything super wrong with the ship, I just don't personally ship it anymore, but in nearly every fic enj was so out of character that I can't believe I could even read them. every line I was like:

Time for round 3 of best Les Mis character! So, Valjean won the first round (y'all are welcome to keep voting for the bishop the rest of the week, but it's a pretty big difference now so I'm considering him the winner), and Fantine won the second. Next up: Marius vs. Eponine!
poor marius was DECIMATED. he did not deserve to be destroyed that much.

marius is always so passionate about everything and yet he never belongs anywhere. he's impressionable yet distant, reckless and impulsive yet observing from the outside. he's obsessive yet fickle. he is ready to give his life like it's nothing yet he's not truly one of les amis. he never went to their meetings, yet he will forever mourn their loss. he refuses the comforts of the bourgeoisie and feeds off his love and his ideals alone, yet he ends up a rich lawyer. he's weak and miserable and lonely yet so loved and cherished that people sacrificed their lives to save him. he's a neglected orphan, yet a privileged kid. abandoned by his father, who adored him. he wanted nothing to do with his father while he was alive, yet latched onto his ghost when he was gone. he's pitiful in his misery, cruel in his happiness. he's the epitome of idealism yet he's selfish. his intentions are pure yet he inadvertedly caused great suffering and death. he has something about him that suggested day - and night. his face was illuminated by the light of the dying day and by the thought of a soul that is taking flight. not yet a ghost, no longer a man. he's truly the most character ever and u guys just don't get him like I get him
very well said. marius is such a complicated character and I know we like to make fun of him a lot but he's really such a fantastically written guy and I think we should appreciate that more.

Jean Valjean sneaks into the barricades.
He sneaks in while chaos from panic is happening. He sneaks in with women.
I genuinely didn't notice him until he stood up 😭
There is this choreography where the women roll on their bum at the end after running through the landscape of the stage. As they do that, it is revealed one of the people running through the stage was Jean Valjean.
He emerges, and the rest of the women dancers run away. (representing the chaos the people were feeling at that time)
