Hello, Any chance of getting your Top Gear NASA style stickers in a smaller size? I recently found a company in the UK that produces a RC Reliant Robin in 1/12 scale and I want to create a shuttle model. 1" did would work great. Also, how well do the stickers hold up in weather? They don't appear to be too sturdy. Regards, Jim Foanio Largo, FL

Hello! well I’ve been looking at the redbubble guides, and they don’t seem to offer smaller sizes than 3″. I’m going to try a different route but I can’t guarantee the result is going to be 1″. I’ll let you know if I manage to make it work somehow

Personally I haven't bought or seen RB stickers but I'm told they're good quality, and I've seen good reviews on youtube. RB say they are waterproof...

Next week I start another year in college

The other day I discovered another reason why the end of TG affected me so much

I started watching in 2009, during my last year in high school, and by 2010, when I entered college, I was already a fan. I decided to catch up with it so starting from series 1 I watched at least one episode every day. Top Gear truly marked a new era in my life, and it’s been with me all this time. It was a constant through all the changes and discoveries I’ve made in myself and through everything that happened to me, to the point that I took it for granted

Not having new episodes to look forward is really hard to accept, but at least I know I have hours upon hours of pure entertainment to rewatch and enjoy once again

Top Gear Fan Appreciation Show

Thank you to all who tuned in. The show is now archived here so please share. A special thanks to topgear-appreciation. I shared the following testimonials: bornontheradiowaves, @some-say-this-is-a-blog, squeesbysophie, doctor-whoop and @the-electric-monk

I hope I did us justice. It was fun

I just listened to this.  Great job!  And thank you for reading my story.

Hi there, I was wondering why on your TG ppt (which is A++ btw) is says "btw they all play instruments and have a band and if you knew why your heart would die" like I knew they had the band but not for a specific reason? Or do you mean it was for the comic relief show?? Sorry bit confused

First of all, thank you! Glad you like it

RE: Top Gear band and why I’m emotional about it. It actually started as part of Richard’s healing process, in a way.

Right after Hammond’s accident in 2006, Jeremy started playing the drums to have something to do while Richard recovered until they started filming again. At one point they realized what it meant if he learned to play:

Richard Hammond plays the bass, James May is a classically trained pianist, and our producer fancies himself as a singer. So if I could learn the drums we could form the Top Gear band and have a Christmas No 1 with a cover of Radar Love. It was something that cheered Richard up. Something he could look forward to. (x)

For a bit of context, originally I had drafted a bigger/wider version, where you could see the pub was closed and it was late at night. Considering they live there, they can stay up till late, long after closing time (if they ever make it public at all), just chatting and laughing and drinking and simply having a good time. They have Richard over every other day.

Edit: btw I should mention that as I was working on this, custardcreamies wrote a pub fic on AO3, for anyone interested

I think the TGUS presenters don’t have the same chemistry the the UK guys have. TGUK you can sense they are mates and really care for each other and that translates into the screen. Plus, they are really funny

TGUS seems contrived to me, like they are trying to hard to be funny or entertaining. The chemistry among the guys just isn’t there. I’ve a few friends that like it, but I’m very suspicious of them. lol.

yeah, well, but maybe they'll develop a chemistry over time

also bear in mind that the producers/makers needed TGUS to be a success from the beggining, but without going through the same, slow developing process as the UK version, so obviously they had to use more or less the same formula, structure, etc

when TGUK started (the new version that is), they didn't know what was going to happen, and they didn't have to that many expectations to fill, so they were quite free to let the show evolve at its own pace. same thing about the presenters relationships. before 2002, Jez and James knew each other, same with James and Richard, and the 'casting' wasn't as focused in the 'personas' or 'personalities'; that came later

here comes an opinion brace yourselves

so I've never given much thought about the falklands thing. I feel like I don't have enough information to take a side on the matter

I made a bit of a research and there's always been a lot of discussion between the countries who claimed the islands as their own, but not much agreement

on one side, I understand the sentiment of nationalism, the point about the history of conquest and settlement, and maybe the idea about how the islands should belong to us because of them being so close to our territory etc

on the other hand... we did go to war about the islands, and we did lose the war, however unfairly (lets not go into that rn) so yeah, that kinda means they belong to them? (even if what the UK cares about the most is the local resources like oil and maybe a bit of the antartica)

but I don't know if that justifies the attitude of (some of) my people regarding this subject. many treat and talk about the english the same way some people in the US treated every japanese because of Pearl Harbor. I wonder if all these people going on about the war and the lost lives are equally involved in helping all the veterans who now live on the street and beg in public transport

I hope any of this makes sense because my mind is a mess and I don't really know what to feel or what to think
