Perpetual Oddball of Sarcasm and Misery with a Reading List of Cosmic Proportions
I’m a fan of Saga, The Walking Dead, The Hunger Games, The Lunar Chronicles, Outlander, Timeless, Game of Thrones (sometimes), Twilight (occasionally), Steven Universe, Gravity Falls, Avatar: The Last Airbender/Legend Of Korra, and a bunch of other stuff. Carrie White and Bree Tanner deserved better.
Currently reading: Voyager by Diana Gabaldon

Nancy and Robin - Kickass Perfect Pale Pink Princesses

Robin brushes the hair back from her face, reclines back and watches Nancy carefully.

“I always thought you were uptight. Just some perfect, pale pink, princess.

Nancy’s lips quirk up slightly, a fast twitch.

“I used to be. I haven’t exactly been that for a while.”

Robin raises her eyebrows. “I think you still might be. Just a little bit.”

The other girl frowns. “I shouldn’t be. I’ve grown out of that.”

“It’s ok,” Robin says, grinning. “It’s not a bad thing to be. You can be a princess and still kick ass. It fits you.”

Nancy smiles too, and Robin’s chest flutters.

“Well, I guess that’s us, right? Kickass princesses. You and me.

You forget that mike is kind of an asshole kid and Nancy is being an Angsty Teen. Maybe you’ll understand when you have kids but I’m guessing you’re only in your 20s or so

At what age am I supposed to lose the ability to empathise with the grief of others. Like yeah Nancy is angsty, it’s because her best friend died and Mike puts all his energy into protecting and caring for his friends for the entirety of both seasons. They might not vent their grief and anger in the most healthy ways but they’re still traumatised children and shouldn’t be expected to deal with these things with an adult level of maturity.
