you know. it comes to a point when enough hostility and overall gross behaviour has been done in the name of a fictional ship. for me to not want to be associated with said ship ever again. yes you ruined it for me. no I have no problem walking away from it. not when it has people acting like this. count me the fuck out. I'm not one of you.
the most hardcore and childish behaviour aside - your knee-jerk reaction to a gay character was to call him gross and predatory. to jump at every chance to make him a villain. as if people haven't been doing that to gay people and gay characters in all of history. it's NOT the same as shitting on any ordinary het couple in mainstream media, and whoever is telling you that it is, is LYING to you. that's the homophobia we keep talking about. that's the damage that you're doing.
circling this back to say that, no, I'm not gonna "come crawling back" now. leaving so many friends and mutuals behind earlier this year was really fucking hard, but I have not and will never forget the disgusting things people said and reblogged and silently supported with likes. I do not regret it.
I have no idea how to interact with this fandom anymore. and I know I'm not the only one who feels that way. and that fucking sucks. but that's not our doing. all we did was call out gross behavior and cut ties with people and opinions that hurt us. and the people who are currently celebrating the axing of a queer relationship that meant a lot for so many of us and find joy in our misery are not people I want to be friends with. the end.
