TFP Game Night HCs
note: getting back into writing and stuff on here! aka procrastinating studying and yapping about transformers instead
Game night hcs! -
- Miko and Jack pretty much fight every game
- Jack's pretty chill until he loses multiple games
- Rafs just sitting there watching them fight (grabs popcorn bucket)
- monopoly ends with at least 2 people crying
- always
- the humans introduce twister and Ratchet is horrified at the way human bodies can twist and turn like that
- uno also ends with at least 2 people crying
- Miko wanted to make a bot sized jenga game
- Bulkhead considered it but said no bc he was afraid Miko would get squished if it fell
- Ratchet enjoys scrabble until it turns into an argument if cybertronian terms count
- Optimus enjoys chess or checkers w Jack, sometimes Raf will walk over and observe, Miko could give less of a fuck
- frisbee was immediately banned when Arcee flung it into the tv accidentally
- Bumblebee enjoys charades, he and Raf always win
- the kids and younger bots get agent Fowler and June to join even if they were hesitant at first but they have a lot of fun
- Miko is banned from monopoly, no i wont elaborate.
- matter of fact monopoly was banned a few game nights in
- later on Smokescreen asks why and gets no answer, forever wondering what the forbidden monopoly game is

Random TFP headcanons Part 1 (mostly humans)
- Raf is deaf in one ear and has a cochlear implant
- Jack is transmasc
- Miko is ADHD
- Raf is Autistic
- Miko at one point tried to cut her own hair
- Needless to say, it did not turn out well
- Jack has a genetic mutation that causes naturally sharper canines
- Yes, several vampire jokes were made about this
- Raf has dirt on EVERYBODY at school, and is not afraid to use it
- Along with the guitar, Miko is pretty good on a drum set
- Jack is frequently called emo
- Miko used to bite kids in kindergarten
- Raf has skipped several grades and is currently a sophomore in duel enrollment
- Jack's parents had split custody until Jack's dad just didn't come to pick him up and stopped paying child support
- June tried to track down her ex-husband, but to no evail
- The kids see Optimus as a father figure, and he is not going to tell them otherwise
- Bumblebee is Ratchet and Optimus's unofficially adopted son
- Raf will behave like a creature from the pits of the underworld if he feels safe

This short exchange says so much about each of them.
Ratchet: I love Optimus, but my hatred for Megatron is bigger. Both blind me to any consideration for Arcee’s and Bumblebee’s safety.
Arcee: My love for Optimus is more important than Ratchet’s hatred for Megatron, but doubts about my safety make me hesitate.
Bumblebee: My love for Optimus is more important than Ratchet’s hatred for Megatron, and my safety.
In no way do I fault Ratchet for falling back on his hatred, or Arcee for falling back on self-preservation.
However, I wonder if either of them had any regrets after the fact…or if Optimus was conscious during the exchange, did it affect how he saw them?
will elaborate once i can string my thoughts together but optimus, especially transformers prime optimus, definitely has extremely bad anxiety

god I love this
it's like Fowler gave Optimus access to a digital library and because Fowler's book choice is 100% American history and related fictional tales/USA folklore -- combined with the fact that Orion Pax is very much still in Optimus' spark somewhere and Orion Pax is a fucking nerd-- you know Optimus LOVES Western Story Time As Curated By Fowler and visited a couple abandoned/disincorporated tiny western/desert towns to immerse himself in the physical locations of the stories and immediately Committed to The Bit Of Understanding The Local Human Culture
this may or may not include using some kind of patched together holoemitter tech to briefly replicate some kind of period accurate but not entirely actually accurate "historical human attire as appropriate for the region in which these tales originated" which is essentially his justification for "I learned this new thing about humans and I love it so I'm doing cosplay"
this results in Optimus greeting the kids with "howdy" at some point and they all lose their fucking minds over it, meanwhile Optimus is so proud and deep down inside Orion is so happy because he learned a thing from local history to connect to this tiny species and it's just very nice
like in that one episode Fowler is straight up like "you'd like bluegrass/country music" or something along those lines and this is just a natural progression of that interaction lmao
they got Optimus out here doing Western LARPing
