watching the bayverse tf movies got me thinking why are the autobots, other than optimus prime and bee, getting very little screen time?? the movie is literally called TRANSFORMERS and there’s very little development on the other autobots characters

this is gonna be an LU headcanon
before i go on, this hc is based on an idea where ace cries lava tears after the meteor had hit. but this is my own take of it.
ace has a limit to how much he can use his laser eyes. if he overexerts his power, his eyes will leak lava/magma(??), giving off a ‘crying’ effect. he only discovered this after the events of episode 5 or 6, where he pretty much snapped when he thought slam was done for. he has to be careful though, because the lava can be very damaging to his vision.
which is why he decided it would be best for him to focus more on physical combat rather than be so reliant on his powers. slam actually taught him quite a bit from his experiences in boxing
