dearest mr holmes (or do you prefer mr sholmes?), i recently heard the most melancholy of... violin sounds (i am not certain it could be called a tune) emmitting from your home. i hope you are much recovered now! i cannot help but wonder what had you in such a state? with much love & concern,🌾
Dearest 🌾,
To answer your first question, I prefer Holmes, though I will certainly answer to both. I, in fact, will answer to just about anything. I am always listening, even when you think I am not.
As for your second question...
I assure you, normally I am quite an excellent violinist. You pinned down the issue exactly when you deduced it was caused by a great deal of sadness. I was exceptionally melancholy, having sent off a letter to my partner with no idea when I may receive a response. I was lonely.
Iris comforted me. Kazuma confided in me that he has experienced similar issues, though he was sending letters to Naruhodou, Susato, and my partner alike. I suppose the two of us will remain together in our misery until we get some sort of exciting postage.
Sherlock Holmes...
Hi Enoch! What can you tell us about your hand?
Ace-chaser,
You mean this old thing? I created it myself many, many years ago. It is a fully functional prosthetic, the first and only of its kind.
I created it piece by piece, I have to wind it frequently, and it must be oiled, which is a problem, as I am... currently away from my place of residence. It must be removed every night, and for that reason I tend to sleep with it under my body. I am afraid that someone will steal it from me, as it is something that seems very expensive.
I will not deny that it was expensive. It took years to create. But it is something that aids me in my movement. Without a second hand, it is much harder to tinker. It is my most prized possession. I could not be more proud of having created it.
Thank you for asking.

To a Mr Herlock Sholmes,
Whatdo you know about Moriarty?
Trace.
Dear Trace,
Ah, Moriarty. That is a name I haven't heard in quite some time! Quite a caper, that was. My partner and I were on his tail for months, trying to suss him out, and when I finally encountered him, it was in the most dramatic of locations.
We were near the top of a waterfall! The rocks were slippery, the two of us were tussling, it was life and death, and I was winning! When all of a sudden...
Mikotoba pulled me to the side! He forced me to step away! Many times he has tended my bruises, set me by the fire, forced me to eat and drink, but never had he stepped in like this!
He pulled me back as I slipped on the rocks, tearing my favorite pair of investigating trousers! I attempted to pull myself up, but the mud put me back on the stony ridge! I looked up and Moriarty was no longer there... I never saw another sign of him.
I do believe he fell off of that ledge. Please do not tell Iris I risked my life like this. I don't want her to follow my decisions. She should be more like Mikotoba.
Thank you for your question,
Great British Consulting Detective, Herlock Sholmes
For Klimt,
So, ahhh… why all the murder babygirl?
Ace-chaser,
I... feel as though you are patronizing me. That being said, I thought I was doing the right thing. I felt as though I had no choice but to do that to make a change. I did what I thought was best for my people. I was wrong.
Regretfully, Klimt van Zieks
hey genshin will your ghost associate with klimt’s ghost
Regrettably, it does seem I am stuck with him.
...Though, I will say, it has been rather entertaining to spend more time with him... In life, neither of us got as much time as we would have liked.

To Albert and/or Barok- Are you fond of desserts? If so, which ones? Signed, Ivy
Dear Ivy,
Can you believe! That there are some people who don't enjoy desserts? Preposterous! What could be more delicious than some sort of sweet treat?!
Since the dawn of humanity we've been searching out fruits for their incredible taste, and now there are some people who, when given the chance, turn down the opportunity to eat such things? Whenever I try to cook something it ends up horribly burnt, tasteless, terrible! And yet! Although Barok has people to cook for him, who do it well, who never burn anything, he turns it down! Cakes and pies, biscuits and jams, all sorts of flavored ices and small candies!
It baffles the mind! It boggles the brain! I must off to go take some desserts now, all this talk has upset me...

To Maria- What are your thoughts on pets? Have you ever had one? What kind of pet would you want to have if you could? Signed, Ivy
Ivy,
I find animals to be quite fascinating. They are the ideal companion, and can help quite a bit when trying to discover things about the human anatomy. Did you know that pigs have a remarkably similar...
I've gotten off track. I do that a bit. I'm working on it. I've been told that humans--people, that is--prefer when you stay on the one topic of conversation. It's difficult. This is another reason why animals are fascinating. As they do not understand you, they will not reprimand you for getting off topic. I find this to be quite noble of them.
And, yes. I have a lovely pet rat. She is lighter than even my hair.

Hi Rosie 🥀
You might be dead but do you KNOW that I love you???
Hi ace-chaser!
I may be dead, this is true, but I am so glad to know that you love me!
I am confused how you know me, though...
Love, Rosie!
To barok,
What do you think about your new niece? Any thoughts about how she is the only child of your beloved brother… Your brother who was also the professor?
Ace-chaser,
I fear that my feelings on Iris being my niece are too complicated to sum up through one single correspondence. She is a brilliant child, and she reminds me quite a bit of him... Or, at least, the side of him that I knew.
There is a lot I must reconsider about my brother. The kind of person he was, how it would have ended had he stayed alive... though, perhaps it is best that he died when he did. He caused a significant amount of misery in his time.
I truly hope his better side lives on in his daughter.

Dearest Enoch, how has prison been treating you? I am truly sorry for your eventual fate, it was unfair on you. I hope you've made friends and have had the chance to pursue science. Love, 🌹
🌹,
...
...
I appreciate your concern on my behalf. I don't think prison is quite the place to make friends, though I have been... reflecting upon my life so far.
I do not regret the death that I caused. I do not regret the trouble the coroner got into for helping me with that death. I think he deserved to die, and she had done some reprehensible things.
The one thing I keep coming back to is Benjamin. Despite his idiocy, he clearly has a passion for science. Given a guiding hand, I believe he could have become something great. I do not know what he is up to now. I do not know how he feels about me. All I know is that I reflect on what I did to him quite a bit.

Hey, Hosonaga. Have you ever considered getting that cough checked out?
Dear Uniquartz,
What do you mean? I am perfectly, fine, it hardly bothers--
Ahem. Excuse me. I have not visited a doctor, though when Dr. Watson was dining with us, I did happen to cough while around him. He stated that it was something that would most certainly kill me. But, he is not a doctor for the living! He was a doctor for the dead.
Though, now that I think of it, perhaps he's seen some people who have died to my condition.... I really should go see someone about this...

To Iris Wilson: You're so talented and I'm so impressed at all the things you can do at such a young age! How did you learn all of it?
Dearest Trace,
Aww, you are so very sweet! I know that most children my age haven't achieved such things as I have, and it is so nice of you to compliment me like that!
As for how I learned it...
My Papa, of course! He has so many books simply laying around, and when he leaves on a case I read them all. He tells me about his deductions too sometimes, and I think I've learned his system better than he has. And, of course, there's experimentation... Maybe I'll show you my journals someday!
Signed, Iris Wilson
I have a question for Knife Juror. You're my favourite Juror, but how do you get away with possessing a knife in court? And what is your profession? Trace.
Trace,
I'll have you know that I'm an absolute professional. The knife is just a sign of the work I do, eh? I'm a barber by trade, Aiden is my name, and they said they couldn't find anyone else, so they let me. If they had a problem with me knife, then they should've had a problem with that girl's weird smoke gun.
And... thank you. For the favorite thing. I appreciate that.
Signed, Aiden Richmond (knife juror)
To the aspiring scientists Albert Harebrayne, what are your thoughts on the phenomenon known as vampires?
Dear ace-chaser,
V-vampires?? A frightening concept indeed!
I've read the novel Dracula and have, of course, heard rumours about my close friend Barok, insinuating he may be one of them. I have had a close eye on his activities for a while--I have been visiting him since the Professor ordeal has finished--and can say that he has not done anything out of the ordinary.
How Romantic a concept, though. A creature who thrives upon death... I shudder to think of it.
