remaking american psycho seems like a complete folly, they either set it in the 80s again thus wasting everyone's time with a pointless remake, or they set it closer to today, which could be interesting if you could suspend your disbelief when it comes to cell phones
however, you'd lose the running gag of bateman, whenever he's caught in a situation where he needs an out, falls back on "i need to return some videotapes"

it's just one of those things where i've seen all the memes about him over the years so it kind of desensitized me a bit, in the back of my mind i was like "yeah yeah patrick bateman is a bad guy, he does bad things", but actually seeing the shit he does on-screen is insane
it's kinda funny how most of the popular bateman memes come from the first half of the movie for the most part, stuff like the cards, the whole paul allen scene, walkin on sunshine, etc, are just from like the first 50ish minutes. i had remained relatively unspoiled on the second half of the movie so i did not know about the whole sequence with the chainsaw lol.
fantastic movie though, loved every minute of it. especially loved one of the final shots of the movie here
