one of the weirdest (and worst) takes ive seen on the discussion about needing more shape/body variety in new dragon breeds is the whole ''oh well people prefer elegant looking dragons, not goofy ones"". not only is that not true (aethers and spirals are very goofy and also very very popular), it implies skinny = elegant and fat = goofy which is also.. not true. and very weird to imply.
here's my sillygirl Sharky:
who is incredibly skinny to the point of looking ridiculous which is the whole point. she's incredibly goofy, i dont think anyone on the planet would describe her as elegant (i hope not anyway). she's all leg and there's barely any room for her organs. SILLY!! and that's the point
and then here is Hops:
who is FAT (yes hes a snapper but he's fat even for a snapper), and he is very elegant and gorgeous. he is regularly voted the most beautiful man alive by the dragons of the sunflower fields clan.
so if it's really true that FR players only want elegant dragons (which i doubt is true anyway), then there is no reason why an elegant dragon can't be fat. stupid argument.
