Figured I'd put up an actual about me cause I've been here long enough.

I'm a huge Pirates of the Caribbean nerd, which is the reason I originally joined Tumblr, but most POTC content I post can be found on my other blog, @redstarsarc.

Other media I love are Doctor Who, Avatar: the Last Airbender, Dragon Age, Detroit: Become Human, Murderbot, Young Wizards, Quantum Break, Stranger Things, Stray, Hitman, Star Trek, Star Wars, and Marvel among others.

I'm also a writer, but sadly I've had to put all my fanfics on hiatus so I can focus on getting my original works published. I've really enjoyed writing fics, however, so I don't think I'll ever be able to give them up entirely; I just can't make any promises about when any will be posted or updated (though comments and nudges are very motivating). In the meantime, I write a ton of original sci-fi and fantasy which I talk about over on my writing blog, @cat-esper.

That's about it. I may be shy, but my asks and DMs are always open and I love chatting about fandoms, writing, or whatever XD

Love to compartmentalize my Solas feelings. In one room is all the Solavellan angst and my love for him as a character and my desire to see him redeemed and in the other room there's just a dartboard with his face on it.

I feel like I'm in the minority, but I just can't bring myself to make more than one OC per game. I'm sorry, but those stories belong to Nahr, Marian, Amity, and Journey and any attempt to replace them would just feel wrong, even if I don't consider it canon. I would be too sad and miss them too much. All of you planning a Rook for each faction/romance, you're stronger than me cause I could never.

Varric definitely told Rook stories about Hawke, there's no way he didn't so she knows how important their friendship is. After what happened in Kirkwall, my Hawke went into hiding with Anders and Varric is the only other person who knows where she is. They regularly send letters back and forth.

After finding out about Varric's death, Rook goes through his things and finds his final letter to Hawke, written shortly before he went to confront Solas. Once things calm down a bit, she sets out to deliver the letter and the news. Because as isolated as Hawke is now, I couldn't leave her not knowing the fate of her best friend.
