Well. Since the dust seems to have settled a bit, I just want to say - I hope Taylor Swift saw the events of yesterday as a learning experience and decide to become more educated on intersectional feminism and privilege. She’s changed her tune on other issues before - feminism among them - so I hope that after all of this she can do so again.

the thing about it is that you can tell Taylor Swift is like a grade a example of white feminism because she deflect the attention off of Nicki’s comment about racism in the industry and turn it back on men when she doesn’t realize that white women hold power over black women as well and that’s very much an issue of feminism and racism, like Taylor’s response is very “hey! we’re both women! every woman is built equally shame the man instead!” which actively ignores her own place and privilege as a white woman like where is that article talking about how black women view white women the way white women view white men and view them just as much as oppressors as they would any man?
