many disadvantages to smalltown/rural medical practices but the vibes can be unmatched. my dentist bought a house for his practice that hasn't been updated or redecorated once since 1975 and he only renovated the exam rooms and left the rest of it so the waiting room has wood panel walls and a brown shag carpet and taxidermy ducks and squirrels mounted on the wall and then you walk through a door into a sterile modern dentist office. obsessed.

Fwiw, it likely wouldn't be the FBI. It'd be tossed down to local specialists, since your "girlfriend" has made it a pretty simple case what with their IP being linked to it, their email being on file with tumblr, their YouTube preferences being shared, etc. The FBI might share their files, but the rest is probably too simple for them to bother with and will probably go to cyber-hate specific non-LE professionals, backed up by LE only if things escalate to actual violence.
I know how cops operate (have a whole big degree in it) and dont wish that on anyone. It's why I didn't report to the FBI or LE in the first place ;)
