- Apple officially unveiled the iPhone Class of 2018 during its annual keynote event on Wednesday.
- During the event, Apple CEO Tim Cook took the stage to announce that three (!) new phones will be dropping between now and October.
- The next generation of the iPhone X — the iPhone Xs and the iPhone Xs Max — promise an updated display and longer battery life for $999 and $1,099, respectively.
- The iPhone XR, meanwhile, is said to fall somewhere between the current iPhone 8 and iPhone X iterations in terms of technological capabilities and will set you back the relatively more affordable amount of $749. Perhaps most exciting of all, the iPhone XR will come in 6 striking shades: white, black, blue, yellow, coral, and Product(RED) red.
- Some people compared the colorful, lower-priced XR to the old iPhone 5C, which, you may remember, was a cheaper, more vibrantly colored alternative to the iPhone 5.
- Others pointed out that since the XR will pack some pretty intense technology into its slim frame, it seems unnecessary to spend an extra $250 on the XS.
