Maybe one of the best surprises I've found in this show that I genuinely did NOT expect, is Sauron's sense of humor, or little moments that made me laugh. He's the Big Bad, the Dark Lord, the Abhorred, and yet--
Just a happy little prisoner watching his She-Elf cause trouble.
"And how close are you and the She-Elf?"
"Don't forget your women."
Kill Mode Activated
"How fares your progress?"
*100% done with your shit*
Halbrand: "Do try not to make any new enemies."
Also Halbrand: *5 minutes later*
Personal Space with Galadriel
VS Personal Space with Everyone Else
Just a Normal Dude, trying to have a good time
I'm sorry but I love him, Your Honor.
I made this my photo in Slack (work chat software) and one of my coworkers was like “is that jojo siwa”
💀💀💀💀💀
This is the man who murdered Jojo Siwa and stolen her bow collection. They are all his now, shinny hot pants included.
she was so hot in this armor god bless our dark lord
Sauron getting offended by the blast that interrupted his fashion walk
Sauron, internally: How dare they interrupt my catwalk?
It's been a while since I've made an Annatar wallpaper. This ones been floating around my brain for a long time. The brain rot is terminal.
All I have done has been for you. Yours was the fire that crafted the marvels of the age. I wish only to share them with the world. Please. Let me. But the Rings are beyond your reach. As I shall be, ere long. For soon I shall go to the shores of the morning. Borne hence by a wind that you can never follow!
Charles Edwards as CELEBRIMBOR & Charlie Vickers as SAURON THE RINGS OF POWER (2022–)
Sauron - will commit genocide, atrocities, raze cities, corrupt minds, turn allies against one another, sow seeds of mistrust, brutally torture and maim, enslave every single race, among other horrific things
Also Sauron - courteously waits for the 9 rings to conveniently fall out with gravity's help because he is a gentleman and he will absolutely *not* fondle a lady's bosom in that way god forbid --
Obsessed with the scene where Adar explains to Galadriel that the danger of Sauron isn’t that he takes—it’s that he gives. He becomes what the person needs him to be, or provides them what they need.
To Adar he gave children.
To Celebrimbor he facilitated the ability to create and cement a legacy.
For Galadriel, he not only gave her an army, but he was her ally, her friend, when she’d been all but abandoned by her own people.
Even that warg in 2x01, he feeds him and gains his trust.
But don’t you see that he did the same thing to us? As Halbrand in S1, he became who the audience wanted him to be—drawing us into the deception.
Who was (arguably) the most beloved character in LOTR? The most fascinating? The one the story started to swirl around despite Frodo and the ring being elsewhere?
Aragorn.
We ate that reluctant-lost-king-sexy-grimy-mystery hero shit UP.
He became who and what we wanted him to be. It pulled a thread from the original story tied directly to our nostalgic, gullible souls.
That’s why it was as much a gut punch for us as everyone else to realize who he was.
The Great Deceiver, indeed.
My name is not Halbrand.
The Rings of Power | 2.02
It was a rough season for Elrond.
One bow to rule them all. 🎀
We all know Sauron is petty, but we don’t talk nearly enough how this evil b*tch became obsessed with Galadriel and decided to be the bane of her entire existence:
First, he became “King Halbrand” because she wouldn’t “let it lie”, the “long lost king who could ride you”.
Then, he decided to “take inspiration” from her dead husband to create his Elf form:
Galadriel had to excuse herself for a cigarette every time she saw these two together:

The Lord of The Rings: Rings of Power Galadriel and Sauron S02E08: Shadow and Flame
Celebrimbor made a super tiny set of elf armor for his favorite forge mouse, equipped with a trademark Feanorian star on his lil' shield. Annatar is not impressed.

Happy TROP!Day! Every Thursday I'm gonna post some TROP artwork! I was going to do a serious hardcore artwork, but I wanted to make this doodle about the mouse so bad, so I did this instead.
