I believe all my deities provide protection in some capacity and in very specific ways. Like Apollo and Hermes are my spiritual protectors. But Eris is my divine bodyguard for sure! And she also empowers me to stand up and defend myself!
I just adore her to absolute pieces! 🥹💖

Well considering I’m devoted to Artemis and have a very close relationship with Eris, I’d say I’m very pro “dark” deities. I think they offer essential and specific guidance that all mortals can benefit from since we also dwell in the dark realms and those elements live within us. Eris especially has taught me this lesson. Artemis herself told me she liked having Eris around because “Eris is reminding you that you have claws and fangs”
I actually recently wrote in my journal “I like the person I am with Eris around”. She’s really changed me for the better and helped me significantly(in her own way) on my self-love/healing journey.
It’s funny too bc the thing I’ve been saying since the moment she showed up is “I don’t ever want to let you go”. It’s been like an instant bond because her energy was what I was craving as a chronic people pleaser prone to constant fawning. I needed her and she knew it. As Artemis said, I needed to be reminded that I could fight back. And thanks to both Eris and Artemis, I am fighting back and reminding OTHER people that I have claws and fangs that I no longer hesitate to use.

I think it’s really time I start making my protection magic a priority. It’s hard being me in an office every day with all these different personalities and unique energies. I really have to shield myself better.

Funny enough as I was writing this I had the image of Eris wrapping me up safely in her wings and then I began reading about shielding techniques where one of them suggested visualizing some kind of barrier between you and everyone else….you know such as a goddess and her protective wings! 🤣

She’s been helping me a lot with not being afraid to take up space, stand up for myself, embrace my anger, and to cause conflict. And by causing conflict, I don’t mean stirring the pot or being an asshole to be an asshole. I basically mean not people pleasing so much because you know once you focus on your own happiness and embracing your own truth people begin to get mad and thus…CONFLICT. That’s what she’s teaching me to be okay with. I don’t have to appease people.
In a nutshell she’s teaching me to be a bad bitch like her and I love her for it! 🤣
One of my favorite experiences with her so far has to do with cursing and hexing and MY GOODNESS! She doesn’t hold back! Here’s what happened
Me: *reading about cursing and hexing*
Eris: You should do that
Me: Oh I don’t perform magic on people without their consent
Eris: Yeah and how’s that working out for you?
Me:
Artemis: Oh we’re cursing now?? Nice

You know I always wondered why the 5th wasn't sacred to any god. Tho I guess technically us Eris followers can see the 5th as sacred to her.
