A little preview of the painting process on the Daydreamer’s Finery (Guild Wars 2) set I’m making. :) I’m far from done with these but I thought it would be nice to share this in-between phase. ♥
Work in Progress for Daydreamer’s Finery. :D ♥
Work in Progress photos for Deception IV, Laegrinna & Velguirie
Shoes: Laegrinna’s shoes needed a lot of sewn-in boning in the upper part of the shoes to make them keep their shape when worn. ^^ For Velguirie’s shoes we decided to go all out and make (almost) seamless bootcovers. The pattern is quite complicated but the result is worth it. ♥
Dresses: Laegrinna’s dress was a lot of fun to make because of the cute white ruffles in the skirt! ♥ ♥ Velguirie’s dress is fitted to her corseted shape. Then the red and black panels are appliquéd and the lace was added by hand.
Arm pieces: The armor piece of Laegrinna is made with foam and worbla. Velguirie’s sleeve has sewn in pin tucks.
Horn: The horn was made with clay and rope. Then it was covered in worbla and the gradient effect was made with several kinds of nailpolish.
Liza as Caithe from Seeds of Truth, Guild Wars 2
Caithe’s Bloom Daggers light up by themselves, the progress pictures show how they were built :D They were made out of DuraFoam, Transpa Art and Worbla, which you can get at Minque <3

Guild Wars 2 Stag armor cosplay progress masterpost :D
Thought it’d be cool to share some work so far! Materials are foam and Worbla by Minque. It’s really cool to be building an armor instead of making a Sylvari-body for a change, haha xD
Make glass slippers for all your Elsa and Cinderella needs with Worbla Transpa Art! :D Long explanation under the cut :)
The (long overdue) M-6 Carnifex gun how-to/tutorial/something! :D
Step 1: Gather your stuff! For this build I used Durafoam (grey) and Plastiform (white). Step 2: Kinda optional, but I used some (superbright) red and blue LED's and put a switch in the trigger for extra swagger. Step 3: Cut out and stack your foam layers to the desired height and make your sharp details with Plastiform. Make sure to stack all your electric wires in the middle so they're nice and snug and can't go anywhere. (You can also make some ridges for them if necessary) Step 4: Check if everything still works and if you like it! xD I glued the layers together at this point and sanded the grip with my dremel, to get that rounded look. I also carved some lines in the grip, with a little sharp knife. Step 5: Give that gun some paint! Guns love paint. (Oh don't forget to prime and seal or it might chip) Step 6: EQUIP & WEAR INTO BATTLE. FEEL LIKE A BADASS. >D
Shepard out ;) Hope it helps! Don't hesitate to ask questions if you have any. Materials by Minque
