The making of Steam Alice! :D I barely made any progress pictures while making this costume, so I scraped together what I had to make a little collage ;)

The pattern on the dress was made by making a black base-dress first and then sewing the grey stripes on individually. The corset is fully functional and has steel boning :) Pepper grinder was made out of a small trash can and covered in expanding foam, then paper mache, and then partly with more foam and Worbla. Because of the trash can inside we could fill it up with white powder and actually turn the handle to make it puff smoke! :D

Alice Madness Returns madness - now with two Alices! :D

So we've finished Liza's Misstitched Dress for Nishicon in the Netherlands and had a boatload of fun as two crazy Alices. In the meantime I made a Pepper Grinder to go with my Steamdress because the Pepper Grinder is just the best weapon ever, and then Liza could pose with the Vorpal Blade, which suits the Misstitched Dress better, I think. :)

I also competed in the Nishicon fashion show with my Steamdress, and got first place! Whoohoo! Super happy about that still. :D

We really like the top and bottom pictures - it kinda looks like were in the maze of the Queen of Hearts' garden..
