"Honey, I've got a surprise for you. Get home soon. That's an order. " Happy #N7day ! Who did you romance? ;) As for me, well, there truly is no Shepard without Vakarian. <3 Also, I thought I'd mention; back when I made my full N7 armor for the Eurocosplay finals I actually even made my underwear screen-accurate. xD Crazy right! There is no decent way to show this as cosplay progress or being worn, so there you go - now you know. (Yes guys, this is actually my excuse for having my shirt open xD) I read a cute thing about Shepard taking on Garrus' clan markings as a form of bonding ritual, which I thought was totally adorable, so that's what inspired these pictures! :D Enjoy your N7Day! Bang some aliens ;) xx Sophie
The (long overdue) M-6 Carnifex gun how-to/tutorial/something! :D
Step 1: Gather your stuff! For this build I used Durafoam (grey) and Plastiform (white). Step 2: Kinda optional, but I used some (superbright) red and blue LED's and put a switch in the trigger for extra swagger. Step 3: Cut out and stack your foam layers to the desired height and make your sharp details with Plastiform. Make sure to stack all your electric wires in the middle so they're nice and snug and can't go anywhere. (You can also make some ridges for them if necessary) Step 4: Check if everything still works and if you like it! xD I glued the layers together at this point and sanded the grip with my dremel, to get that rounded look. I also carved some lines in the grip, with a little sharp knife. Step 5: Give that gun some paint! Guns love paint. (Oh don't forget to prime and seal or it might chip) Step 6: EQUIP & WEAR INTO BATTLE. FEEL LIKE A BADASS. >D
Shepard out ;) Hope it helps! Don't hesitate to ask questions if you have any. Materials by Minque
HAPPY N7 DAY!

Quick GIFs of this MCM Expo video. Yes, that's me on the Eurocosplay stage! :D More pictures and stuff soon ^__^
So I got some pictures of my Commander Shepard costume! :D The weekend was great, I got some cool reactions and people saluting me in the hallways and randomly singing "You can fight like a Krogan, run like a leopard.." which was great! <3
I also entered the Eurocosplay preliminaries and ajhsjsjfje I WON *__* I'm sooo unbelievably happy and honoured to go there, it's a long time dream come true! I saw the finals live in 2011 and ever since then I've been dreaming to go.. so.. omg :')
The irony does not escape me that Shepard's final destination is London x'D

OMGGG these are the first quick snapshots of my completed Shepard costume! :D
I won the preliminaries for EuroCosplay with this costume yesterday, so I'm heading off to the finals in London this october! AAHHHH x3333
Time for another Commander Shepard update :D
Slowly but surely all the pieces of armor have come together and now I'm just putting on the final touches of weathering and straps and clips to make it all wearable. I've also finally finished my Omni-tool, which was made from acrylic sheets and then cut with a laser and shaped with heat. It was an ...adventure, to say the least, but it works! :D (the blade is foldable, so I won't have to stab any eyes out x'D)
Last image is my latest make up test because I'm Renegade4life and I needed to test my Rigid Collodion to see if I could make some nice looking scars ;)
One more day to go *__*
Test fitting some of Shepard's armor pieces. :3 Still missing a couple pieces of course haha xD
(Ugh please excuse the mess in the background, I am so sorry)
Materials are Plastiform and Durafoam by Minque!
Ughhh Shepard's backpack of doom. Yes, those are 36 very bright LEDs. My eyes hurt, and so do my hands, but thank god they WORK and they're finally in there.
Both of these pictures were taken with the lights in the room on like in the lower picture, but these LEDs are so friggin bright they make all camera's fuck up x'D My mobile phone can't even make a proper picture anymore! xD
I've done a couple projects with LED-lights already, but I still cackle like a mad scientist when the lights work for the first time. Also, these lights are *bright*, damn. These guys at the store weren't kidding!
Oohh my gosh I got some boobarmor <3
I love looking at the pictures of the patterns and remembering how I felt before, usually it's a bit like "how am I ever going to do this?" and then you just play around with your materials and something comes out. :) Still needs some paint, of course!
Back patterns are done too so hopefully I'll have my torso armor done real soon :D

~The story of Shepard and wigs~
I have never had much trouble with wigs, they never got lost, they were always the right colour, never of terrible quality.. UNTIL SHEPARD.
The first wig was bright red. Bright freaking lighthouse red. I knew it was going to be awful before I had even taken it out of the bag. I tried to dye it with the alcohol/ink method, ended up staining my entire room and floor, but the wig came out unscathed, not even 1 hue difference. *facepalm*
The second wig was much darker, almost purple-y so. I had seen a couple other Shepard cosplayers with this kind of wig but it just kept bothering me every time I put it next to the reference (also it sorta made me look like a prostitute, and not in a good way).. so I bought another one, crying, hoping and praying that this time it would be alright.
And when it arrived, at first I was delighted - the copper colour was exactly what I was looking for - but then I saw them. Bright yellow streaks, only coming from the front/top, and seriously a kind of yellow that would make a banana jealous. AJKLAJJHFIJFIOAFOP WHY
I sharpied those *****es to the right shade, washed the wig, and cut and styled it. The rest is in the image. X___x Ughgg. It's just going to have to do. I refuse to buy any more wigs for you, Shepard! xD
Armor progress for Femshep, all unpainted still. Trying to get as much assembled as I can before starting on the paintjob.
Shown here are shoulder pieces, upper arm and lower arm guards, hip and upper thigh pieces. Still a pretty long way to go!

Because Sophie is too shy to share this herself, I'll do it for her! ♥
I really am a fan of Mass Effect but I never got as much in to 'the feels' as Sophie did. Until I read this story that she wrote....
So many tears! The feels suddenly hit me like a brick stone wall!
I hope some of you here will read this short story and enjoy it as much as I did. ^^

Figuring-out-how-to-make-armor-post :D
First time fooling around with Durafoam and Plastiform, which are just amazing materials. I finally feel like I know how to handle them now, after making this test piece. Tried to make as many mistakes as possible with this one (and it shows, haha xD) so that those mistakes won't happen on the actual armor pieces. :3
Now it's time for patterning and starting to build all the armor! *__*
